Tuscany isn't known for wolves, or for vast private nature reserves. Or for cabins tucked into forests that smell of pine and mushrooms.
And yet, that’s exactly what we found at Oasyhotel a regenerative eco-retreat set within a 1,000-hectare WWF-protected wilderness. It’s one of the most quietly radical hotels we’ve come across, and we’re proud to have it in the Siana collection.
What drew us in was not just the setting—though the Apennines are spectacular—but the purpose. Once a private hunting estate, now rewilded in partnership with WWF, Oasyhotel is a true example of tourism giving back. The land supports a therapeutic camp for children, a philanthropic academy, a farm, a cheesemaker, and a growing local community that has shaped this project from the beginning.
The 16 wooden lodges are intentionally minimalist. This isn’t about opulence—it’s about immersion. Days here are spent hiking, foraging, cycling, stargazing. Evenings begin with food grown on site and cooked with extraordinary care by a young chef trained in some of Italy’s finest kitchens.
This is what modern hospitality can look like: not just beautiful, but bold, purposeful, and healing. For the land, for the community, and for those lucky enough to stay.
