Then you are exactly the family I love helping most.

Here's the thing I've learned after sailing plenty of them: it's almost never the cruise itself that puts people off. It's the not knowing. The worry that everyone else will have done it before and you'll be the ones stood at the terminal not knowing where to go, what to do, or whether you've packed the right things. 😅

Cruise myths I would dearly love to bin, from someone who's actually stepped foot on 6 different Disney ships...🚢

"They're only for families, or for people with little ones who can't do the parks." Not even slightly true. There are adults-only ships, adults-only spaces, and grown-ups having the time of their lives on every sailing I've been on.

"You'll be bored." On a Disney ship? Absolutely no chance. Shows, deck parties, water rides, trivia, whole days that fill themselves without you lifting a finger.

"You'll feel seasick the whole time." Modern ships are enormous and properly stabilised. Most people genuinely forget they're moving at all.

"It's all stuffy formal dinners." The opposite. With rotational dining you eat in a different themed restaurant every night, and your serving team comes with you and learns your order by day two. About as far from stuffy as it gets.

The truth is a cruise is whatever you want it to be. Lively or restful, packed or lazy, grown-up or full of little ones. That's exactly why they suit so many different families.

Here's why any of that actually matters to you.

I've done the online training modules, and honestly, they're brilliant. Magic Ahoy!, my full CLIA certifications, I rate every one of them and I've put the hours in. But I'll be straight with you: nothing quite beats being on the deck, wandering the ship, and shmoozing with the crew to get the real tea. The stuff that never makes it into a module.

That's where it all exploded for me. I was lucky enough to go on a Disney FAM trip, actually on board with Captain Mickey, treading the deck, playing shuffleboard, seeing every corner of the ship with my own eyes. My knowledge went up exponentially in a matter of days, and I've since done numerous Disney cruises of my own on top.

And it doesn't stop at the gangway. I get off at the ports too, into the actual towns and countries, so the port guides I give you are genuinely useful. Where's worth your precious few hours and where isn't, what's a lovely stroll from the ship and what needs a taxi, where to eat, what to skip. Real feet on real ground, not a copy-paste from the internet.

I paid for those cruises with my own money, which means I know exactly where it's worth spending and where you're better off saving, so you never pay a penny more than you need to. I've stayed in the rooms where the location was, let's say, LESS than sublime. 😅 I've made the mistakes so you don't have to. When I steer you towards a particular cabin, deck or side of the ship, it's because I've learned it the hard way.

And after all of that, all those lines, all those miles? Disney is still my favourite. I've got the receipts as to why, and I'll happily talk you through every one.

And as your Fairy Godmother, this is the message I send every year at exactly this moment, because right now is when the magic gets decided. Book in the next few weeks and Christmas is calm, spread and sorted. Leave it, and it's a December scramble. I know which one I want for my families.

🏰 Well… we've officially been EVICTED by the Mouse! 🐭

This afternoon we officially said goodbye to Pop Century (checkout day is always the saddest day 💔)… but the magic isn't over yet!

Today we're been resort hopping around the monorail loop to explore some of Disney's Deluxe resorts ✨ Think stunning lobbies, incredible theming, and maybe… just maybe… a sneak peek at somewhere VERY special 👀 More on that later... trust me, you'll want to stay tuned!

And now, we're racing to catch the train to MIAMI and.... the bus broke down! 😂😂😂 🌴 queue waiting face below...

A few days into Walt Disney World now, and I wanted to share what's actually landing with the families around me. In real time. 💛
And it's never the big ticket things you'd expect.
It's the cast member crouching down to learn a nervous little one's name. The completely unplanned ice cream that turns a wobble into a giggle. The Skyliner, which I've watched children beg to ride again and again for no reason other than pure joy. 🚡and me... I love the skyliner...

That's genuinely why I come myself. So that when I plan your trip, I know more than the rides and the opening times. I know the feeling. I know where the magic actually hides, which is almost never where the guidebook says it is.
You can't get that from a screen. You get it from standing here, watching it happen, over and over. ✨
