I have some news. And it isn't only Disney. 🎢

I've just come through some seriously rigorous training with Universal, and I'm now a qualified Universal Specialist, working with them as a preferred partner. PHEW! I also have been invited out to spend some time with them again on resort to return back to the magic and I cannot wait to experience it all again, my last trip to Universal was in 2024 and I'm back in just a few weeks!

Let me tell you what goes into an enquiry. 💛

Hours. Genuinely, hours.

Every quote, every "could you just look into," every idea you throw at me, I go away and properly work on it. I research it. I price it three different ways. I check the dates, the rooms, the dining, the little details that make or break a trip. Because that's the job, and I love the job.

And here's the thing I need you to know about me 👇

I'm one Fairy Godmother. A one-woman show. Not a big team, not a call centre, not a website with a chat bot. Just me, at my laptop, pouring real time into your family's holiday because I want it to be brilliant. ✨

All of it costs you nothing. That's the deal, and I stand by it happily.

But it only works because it's a two-way street. You bring me your trip, I pour everything into it, and when it's right, you let me book it. Same price as booking direct. Every time.

Current situation: I am planning lapland holidays while feeling deeply sorry for myself, crying gently into a Coke Zero with the big tissues out, watching Princess Diaries. 😭

Still recovering from my fall yesterday, and honestly? It's proof I'm getting old, because I feel like I've been hit by a big red bus. 🚌😅

But here's the thing about being sat still with a blanket and nowhere to go. You get thinking.

And what I've been thinking about, between Mia Thermopolis getting her makeover and me reaching very slowly for another tissue or a bag of malteasers, is all the families who plan their own Disney trips. 👇

So let me ask you, from my sickbed of self-pity: how many have you planned yourself? And honestly, how did they go? 👀

I ask out of real curiosity, not judgement.

Because the families who come to me after their first self-planned trip nearly always say some version of the same thing 👇

"It was good. But we found out about character dining on day three and everything was already gone."

"We stayed at the wrong resort for how we actually holiday."

"We didn't properly understand Lightning Lane until we were stood in the park."

"We wish we'd done things in a different order."

None of these are disasters. Everyone still had a lovely time.

They're just the gap between a good trip and an extraordinary one. And that gap is almost always down to knowing things eleven months earlier than you found them out. It's the stuff I carry around in my head so you don't have to go finding it out the hard way, stood in a park with three tired children. 💛

The second trip, when they book with me, is always better. Every single time.

Don't laugh. 🙈

Today has been about as Monday as a Monday can possibly get.

I took a tumble outside work (the office one, not the castle one) that would have made it more bareable, and thankfully didn't break my neck. But you could genuinely play dot to dot with the bruises and grazes I've got all over me right now. 😅

Nothing's broken, which I'm very grateful for with my big holiday coming up... but I'm just extremely sore, moving like a woman three times my age, and feeling a tiny bit sorry for myself if I'm honest. 🩹

So a quick and honest heads up. It means I'm running a smidge behind on quotes this week (and it's only Monday). I promise I haven't forgotten you. Things are just taking a little longer than usual while I hobble about feeling delicate, and with no shame have been in my PJs since about 2pm!

The meal plans are being completely reworked for arrivals from April 2027, and they go on sale this September.

This isn't a name swap. It's a proper change, and for a lot of families it's genuinely good news. More choice, more flexibility, and your hotel no longer deciding where you're allowed to dine. 👀

A couple of weeks ago... one of my families set off for Disneyland Paris. They stopped overnight at a hotel near Manchester Airport, got up early, and headed for their flight. 🚀

And somewhere on route to the airport... the message landed.

Buzz. They'd left Buzz behind. At the hotel.

Now, if you've ever travelled with a small child, you'll know this isn't a lost toy. This is a member of the family. And a little boy was on his way to meet Mickey without his best friend. 😢

So while they flew, I got to work.

The hotel team were absolutely wonderful, and they found him. Tucked up in his comfy bed, exactly where he'd decided to stay. 💛

So while the family made memories in Paris, Buzz had a lovely quiet few days of his own back at the hotel. And when they landed home and drove back past on the way, he was waiting for them. One very happy little boy, reunited with his Buzz. 🥹

This is the bit nobody puts in a brochure. It isn't always flights and tickets and dining reservations. Sometimes it's a phone call and a panciked email to the hotel about a plastic space ranger, because a little boy can't sleep without him.

That's what having a Fairy Godmother in your corner actually means. ✨

What being a Disney specialist actually means. Because "specialist" is a word this industry throws about far too freely, so let me tell you what it means for me specifically. 🪄

I am not an armchair agent.

When I tell you I'm on the ground, I mean I am there. Actually there. Not reading about it, not watching someone else's video of it, not repeating a training slide. There. 👇

It means I'm at Disneyland Paris every single month. Not occasionally. Every month. So the knowledge in your Magic Pack is from this month, not last year.

It means I've sailed with Disney Cruise Line myself. I know what a sea day actually feels like. I know whether Palo brunch lives up to it. I know what the last night does to you.

It means I've been to Walt Disney World, recently enough to tell you what the rides, the dining and the resorts are genuinely like right now rather than what they were like in 2023.

It means I sit in trade events, supplier briefings and product launches. When something shifts, a price, a policy, a new attraction, I hear about it early. Often before it's public. 👀

And it means I've booked hundreds of Disney holidays. I've seen what goes right and I've seen what goes wrong, and that context only comes from doing it over and over.

So when I tell you "Hotel Cheyenne, not Newport Bay, for your family and your budget," that comes from knowing both hotels properly. From standing in both. Not from reading a description of them. 💛

That's what a specialist actually is. Somebody who was there. And it costs you nothing extra.

Big news for my Lapland families. The first all-inclusive Lapland lodge for Christmas 2027 has just been released, and the enquiries are already coming in thick and fast.

Deep in a Finnish national park. Log fires, a kids' SnowClub, and all-inclusive board, so there's no counting up lunch money or working out what a hot chocolate costs. Just magic. ✨

💛 Chronic conditions and invisible illnesses
🚻 Conditions where quick, reliable toilet access isn't optional
