"Where to begin? Well, I had a tour of a lifetime ! It was magical ! A heartfelt thank you to Philippa of British history tours and her team. To say they ticked all the boxes would be an understatement.
If you love history as I do, I Highly recommend this tour.
So thank you Philippa ! Thank you for your guests and authors Elizabeth Norton, Gareth Russell, our guides on our tours Sarah Slater and Will, all the staff during our stay at Hever Castle, our coach driver Terry, I’m missing a name or two...and of course, the weather. The breakfasts and dinners! Delicious! We were spoiled !

I could have stayed all day here. What an evocative and beautiful place. Even in ruin, it is clear that this was a grand royal residence.
Margaret Tudor, wife of James IV, gave birth to the future James V here, in 1512.
James V’s wife, Mary of Guise, gave birth here in 1542, to a little girl who, 6 days later, would become Mary, Queen of Scots.

“The Anne Boleyn tour was excellent. My husband and I enjoyed every minute. Philippa and Gareth are amazing hosts. The tour is extremely well organised with the very special added bonus of wonderful guest speakers. The star of the show is Hever Castle. A magical place to stay. The accommodation was first class with friendly attentive staff.
Our recommendation is book a British History Tour and enjoy your own little bit of history.”
