Known as "the home of the Counts of Celje", Stari Grad is the largest medieval castle in Slovenia, with the earliest foundations dating back as far as the second half of the 12th Century.

Today, it serves as a fantastic cultural attraction, an amazing view of the city (weather permitting), and hosts a number of sports climbing routes on the crags below the walls... whatever would English Heritage think of such an (awesome) idea...
