What I love most about Mexico City is that nothing here feels one-dimensional.
It’s the dogs curled up under café tables. The smell of fresh conchas drifting out of a corner panadería. The taco stands with queues that tell you everything you need to know. The mezcal bars hidden behind heavy doors, the murals painted onto public walls, the museums you could lose whole days inside, and the neighborhoods that each feel like their own little world.

And that’s the magic of CDMX. It’s not a city you can simply “tick off.” The best version of Mexico City isn’t the one you can Google. It’s the one shaped by local knowledge, the right introductions, the best tables, the neighborhoods that match your style, and the little moments you’d never find on your own.

If Mexico City is on your list, get in touch. We’d love to help you plan it properly. 🇲🇽✨

I recently took my mum on a trip to Florence and Tuscany, and it reminded me just how special it is to travel with someone you love, especially when you get that rare stretch of proper, uninterrupted time together.

So for Mother’s Day, we thought we’d share a few mother-daughter trip ideas based on the kind of travellers you are:

✨ London for the history girls
Stay: Claridge’s, The Connaught or The Savoy

✨ Paris for the boutique browsers
Stay: Hôtel de Crillon, Ritz Paris or Le Bristol

✨ Swiss Alps for the spa robe set
Stay: Bürgenstock Resort

✨ Maybourne Riviera for the check-in-and-stay girls
Stay: The Maybourne Riviera

✨ Florence for the art and aperitivo girls
Stay: Collegio alla Querce

Whether it’s for Mother’s Day, a milestone birthday, or just a very good excuse to get something special in the diary, we’d love to help you plan a trip you’ll both remember.

I’m not someone who thinks every trip needs an entirely new wardrobe. I’d much rather bring the pieces that feel effortless, pack easily and can be styled again and again from morning coffee to long lunches, city wanders, beach days, travel days, and golden-hour dinners.

So this is my version of what to pack for summer in Europe, the pieces that make getting dressed on holiday feel a lot easier.

Comment SUMMER and I’ll send you the links. ✨

If you’ve followed me for a while, you might remember my This Week in the World series and I’ve officially brought it back over on my Substack. ✈️✨

This carousel is just an excerpt from installment two, and honestly, there is so much happening in the world of travel right now. From Europe’s new border crossing system to the jet fuel shortage story I’m watching closely, major global events, hotel notes, exhibitions, and more - there are a few headlines worth knowing as we head into summer travel.

The full post is now live on The Heart of Travel on Substack. Free subscribers will receive the edit and paid subscribers will receive a more in-depth version with additional insights, recommendations, and behind-the-scenes notes.

I’ve been on the road a lot lately. I’m currently on country 4 of my 6 countries in 6 weeks, which means I’ve had a lot of time to think about what I actually reach for when I travel. 😅✈️

Not the things I pack for the imaginary version of myself who is perfectly organised at all times, but the things I genuinely use again and again. The ones that make long flights, early mornings, full itineraries, changing climates, and constant repacking feel a little easier.

So here’s my very current, very road-tested list of the travel essentials that have kept me going these last few weeks:

✨ Cashmere wrap
✨ Electrolytes
✨ Portable phone charger
✨ A really good sleep mask
✨ Lip stain
✨ Sheet mask
✨ Peppermint tea
✨ SPF
✨ AirTags
✨ Silk trousers

What’s the one thing you never travel without? Comment TRAVEL for all the links to my essentials.

Last week I attended one of the leading events in luxury travel with my Embark Beyond family, and I’m still processing all that the week was.

Mostly, I’m heading home feeling inspired and enriched by the conversations, the ideas exchanged and the reminder that this industry is built on genuine relationships.

Yes, we talked trends, AI, the future of travel, and what’s next in luxury. But more than anything, this week reminded me how grateful I am to be surrounded by people who are thoughtful, creative, generous, and truly brilliant at what they do.

Heading home full of ideas I can’t wait to share… and very thankful for the people I get to learn from along the way. ✨

Mexico City was an absolute foodie heaven and, after a whirlwind of a trip, I’m still thinking about almost everything we ate and drank along the way.

What I loved most is how layered the food scene is. The taco carts are extraordinary, the fine dining is world-class, and even the international restaurant scene is one of the best on the continent. You simply don’t eat badly here.

We’re currently planning an Atlas Adventures trip to Mexico City as we speak, so for now, I’m saving my very best recommendations for our future travellers. A few might also make their way to paid Substack subscribers, because some addresses are too good not to share. 🌮✨

And of course, if you’re dreaming up your own Mexico City escape, book with us. We’ll help you build an itinerary full of the restaurants, experiences, hidden gems, and thoughtful little details that make a trip feel truly special.

I packed for our Embark Beyond trip with the energy of Rio in mind: vibrant, warm, a little playful, and full of movement. I wanted pieces that felt right for the city without feeling like I was dressing as someone else entirely, so the focus was colour, texture, easy silhouettes and outfits that could carry me through a very full itinerary.

From boat days and beachside lunches to exploring the city, dinners, cocktail hour, and everything in between, I needed pieces that could work hard without looking like they were trying too hard. Bright dresses, relaxed sets, statement accessories, comfortable sandals, and a few easy staples made it all feel fun but still really wearable.

For my full Rio packing list, comment “Rio” below and I’ll send the link your way! ✨

May is one of the smartest months to travel. Europe is warming up and opening for the season, but without the crowds, heat and pricing of peak summer.

It’s also a month that rewards good timing. Some destinations are just hitting their stride, while others come with annual events that are genuinely worth planning around.

🌊 Coastal Europe Begins
San Sebastián is back in its rhythm, with terrace lunches, beach walks and long evenings built around food. Mallorca feels especially good in May too, sunny and green, with that early-season calm before summer crowds arrive. Malta is another standout this month, warm, walkable and ideal before peak summer heat sets in.

🏔 Lakes & Mountains
Lake Como has that polished early-season feel in May, when the gardens are in bloom and everything feels fresh rather than busy. The Swiss Alps shift into summer mode too, with mountain hotels reopening, hiking trails returning and cooler air as a contrast to beach-heavy travel.

🎭 May Events Worth Travelling For
Cannes brings its usual Riviera glamour during the Film Festival, Paris pairs beautifully with the start of Roland Garros, and Chelsea Flower Show makes one of London’s prettiest weeks feel even more special.

🌿 Safari Sweet Spot
Kenya is greener and quieter at this time of year, which makes it a brilliant option for travellers who value a more exclusive-feeling safari. South Africa also works beautifully in May, especially for combining Cape Town, the Winelands and safari in one seamless trip.

If May 2027 is your window, this is the moment to secure the right hotels, the right routes and the trips worth timing properly. Let’s start planning. ✨

It’s been a while since I’ve been this charmed by a new destination, but Rio has completely won me over.

The people, the energy, the music, the colour, the beaches, the mountains, the way the whole city seems to move… it is honestly so captivating. Rio has this rare mix of natural beauty and personality that makes it feel alive in every direction.

Here are 10 experiences that have made me fall in love with Rio:

✨ Christ the Redeemer (take the first cable car up to beat the crowds)
✨ Sugarloaf Mountain
✨ A sailing day on the water
✨ A bossa nova bar
✨ A pool day at Belmond Copacabana Palace
✨ The Roxy Dinner Show
✨ Açaí bowls
✨ Strolling along Copacabana Beach
✨ Shopping in Ipanema
✨ Água de coco on repeat

Save this for your Rio list and get in touch to start planning your trip!
