Kim is just back from the annual Carrier VIP trip .
Always a date in the calendar that I look forward to, and this year certainly didn’t disappoint!
This time we headed to the beautiful Greek island of Mykonos, where we were lucky enough to stay at the newly reimagined Mykonos Grand Hotel & Resort.
This family-owned beachfront hotel really is a gorgeous property. With two beautiful pools, including a peaceful adults-only pool, its own beach, excellent restaurants and superb food, it has a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere. What really stood out, though, were the staff – genuinely warm and friendly, with excellent service throughout our stay.
You can quite happily spend your days doing very little by the pool or on the beach, but when you want a change of scene, the hotel’s shuttle takes you into Mykonos Town to wander its maze of little whitewashed streets, boutiques, restaurants and bars.
One of the highlights for me was our day trip to the nearby island of Delos. One of Greece’s most important archaeological sites, Delos was considered the birthplace of Apollo and Artemis in Greek mythology and was once a thriving religious and trading centre. Today, you can walk amongst the remarkably preserved ruins of temples, houses, mosaics and ancient streets – a fascinating contrast to the glamour and buzz of Mykonos.
A lovely few days, a beautiful hotel, great company, fantastic hosting and another memorable Carrier VIP trip. Thankyou and
