Just wanted to let all my f/b friends to be wary I thought I was the most pedantic of all when it came to hiding my identity. They got me - and BIG!They applied for a credit card in my name for £7.5K and got it!They then applied for a current account in my name and got it! They then applied for a loan for £20K in my name and got it! All this started in feb 2022 and I was alerted September of 2022!! All in my name . They knew everything about me date of birth and all ! How? Who gets penalised because of this ? ME! I know have a credit report against me which will last for 60 days !!! Seems very unfair, when all I’ve done is gone about my business - like most of us - trying to make ends meet, lawfully. I’ve reported the crime to Action Fraud. But who knows ???!!!Whilst I have been assured I am not liable for these
Monies, I feel so violated and have spent the last few days looking over my shoulder. how the hell does this happen and how the hell can you open a current a/c, take out a massive loan and be accepted for a credit card with a substantial credit, when you’re not who you claim to be????Any advice from anyone would be greatly appreciated . 😞
