Our Boats Fill Early, for a Reason

There’s something special about knowing you’ve got next summer sorted.

60 Years Married, 25 Years Sailing 🫶

Meet Ros and Roger — who recently celebrated their Diamond Wedding Anniversary while doing what they love most: sailing with family.⁠
⁠
They’ve been flotilla sailing with us for over 25 years (often more than once a year!), and their most recent adventure included three generations on board — their daughter, grandchildren Matthew and Grace, and even Grace’s younger sister Ella.⁠
⁠
Grace has joined them on flotillas many times over the years — and more recently, has spent her summer months working with our team, swapping family holiday snaps for crew uniform and coach duties.⁠
⁠
The lead crew even gifted Ros and Roger a tiny wooden boat to mark the occasion. And back home, a very special envelope arrived from King Charles and Queen Camilla — the perfect finishing touch to such a meaningful milestone.⁠

As Ros put it:
“Our Sailing Holiday flotillas for 25 years have inspired us to keep on going.”

The lunch stop you just can't leave - what's yours?

Ours this year was a hot run between Goat Bay and Pere Pigadhi.

But. This is what holidays are for.

It’s not about the itinerary.

It’s about the freedom to say, “Shall we just stay here a bit longer?”

The lunch stop in Goat Bay ran into afternoon.
Three generations, all in the water.
Teenagers on the dinghy.
Mum on the paddleboard.
Grandparents with snorkels.

🍻A few cold beers passed over the rail. 😉
Giant beans and Greek cheese shared from the lunch table.�
No one watching the clock.

When holidays get this good, you don’t rush them.

And when you look back, you realise it wasn’t the location — it was the way you all arrived to it.

Together, without hurry.

🏡 A Week at Villa Meandros, Sivota Bay
Tucked into the hillside above Sivota Bay, Villa Meandros is the kind of place you’ll never want to leave. But just in case you do… here’s a taste of how a week might unfold:

✨ Day 1 – Arrive, unpack, exhale. Watch the yachts drift into the bay while you sip your welcome drink by the pool.
🍽 Dinner down in Sivota at a taverna right on the water.

🏖 Day 2 – Head to Afteli Beach (20 mins by car) for a peaceful swim and crystal-clear waters.
Evening barbecue back at the villa with a view.

🌊 Day 3 – Beach Day Options (Near & Far!)
Whether you want to stay local or explore further, here are some stunning beaches to choose from:

Close to Villa Meandros

🐚 Dei Beach (10 mins) – Quiet, secluded, and a local secret.

☀️ Pasas Beach (10 mins) – Small and peaceful, perfect for a relaxing swim.

🏝 Mikros Gialos (25 mins) – Sheltered bay with calm water and a beachfront taverna.

🌞 Ammoussa Beach (30 mins) – Family-friendly with sunbeds and a great beach bar.

A Bit Further (For a Mini Adventure)

🌊 Agiofili Beach (50 mins, incl. short boat taxi from Vasiliki) – Turquoise waters and dramatic white-pebble setting.

🌴 Egremni Beach (1 hr 10 mins) – Famous for its bright blue sea and long, peaceful shoreline (note: includes a walk down stairs).

🏖 Gialos Beach (1 hr) – Remote and spacious, perfect for a quiet day with a view.

Pick one or mix a few for your own beach-hopping day!

🏛 Day 4 – Day trip to Lefkada Town (1 hr) for marina views, boutique shops, and sunset at Agios Ioannis Beach.

🌿 Day 5 – Morning walk to Dimosari Waterfalls (35 mins), followed by wine tasting at Lefkas Earth Winery.

📚 Day 6 – No plans. Just pool, sunshine, and a good book.

🌅 Day 7 – One last breakfast on the terrace, soaking in the view before you head home - sun-kissed and recharged.

A boat to yourselves, this weekend. Who's in?

There’s something pretty special about waking up on your own yacht, with cool clear water just a few steps away.

No crowds.
No big plans.
Just you, your crew, and the open Greek sea.

Think sailing past the Mamma Mia church, watching sunrise in the home of Odysseus - or not really having a clue where you are, just sitting back, sipping beers and jumping into gin clear water.

Next year marks 50 years of Sailing Holidays.

Half a century.
(We had to double check the maths. And no, we can’t quite believe it either.)

We haven’t all been here the whole time — but between Barrie, Heidi, and now baby grandson Charlie, this is officially the third generation involved in the business.

And the dream that started it all?

To make sailing in the Greek islands feel a little less exclusive.
A little more accessible.
A little more fun.

Turns out, thousands of you said yes to that dream.
You’ve sailed with your mates, your kids, your grandkids.
You’ve passed the helm on — literally and figuratively.
And we couldn’t be more grateful to have shared the ride with you.

This is just a little moment to pause and say thank you.
For choosing to come.
For telling your friends.
For sharing stories, sending photos, and coming back time and again.

Fifty years is a lot of lunches in bays.
A lot of dinghy mishaps.
And a lot of holiday memories made real because of you.

The sea turns up a different kind of conversation.

Not all holidays are created equal.

Some fade.

Others become part of your family’s vocabulary.

🥓Where the kids take turns cooking breakfast (sort of).

🍷Where the grandparents actually join in — jumping off the back of the boat, glass of wine in hand.

💦Where the best days had no plan beyond finding a bay, anchoring up, and seeing what unfolded.

🌬️ Two Week Sporades Islands Flotilla - This one’s for the sailors ready to leave the beaten track behind…

📍Your journey begins in Orei, a traditional harbour village on Evia Island. After a relaxing welcome (and maybe a cold beer), your two-week Aegean adventure begins.

Over the first few days, you’ll ease into the rhythm of flotilla life in the Gulf of Volos, dining in harbourside tavernas and getting to know your flotilla crew in peaceful places like Agia Kiriaki and Achillion.

Then… the real magic begins.
⛵️ Kira Panagia, Peristera, and the Alonissos Marine Park offer a different kind of sailing – where your evenings might be spent anchored in a deserted bay, cooking on board under the stars, with only the sound of the sea and the bells of distant goats. Absolute serenity.

🐚 Explore Skopelos (home of the Mamma Mia church), the white-sand beaches of the southern coast, and charming hilltop towns like Old Alonissos.

💙 And of course, there’s Skiathos – with its vibrant town, hidden coves, and that unbeatable feeling of sailing between the islands with the Meltemi wind filling your sails.

🦭 If you’re lucky, you might even spot a Mediterranean Monk Seal along the way...
