Can you really fit the whole family on board?

There are not many holidays that genuinely work for three generations at once.

Grandparents can linger over coffee on deck.

Parents can remember what it feels like to finish a conversation.

Children can spend the day jumping into the sea, exploring new places and acquiring a flotilla’s worth of honorary aunts and uncles.

Everyone has an adventure.

Nobody has to organise the entertainment.

And there is usually someone willing to keep an eye on the children while you order another carafe.

A larger yacht gives the whole family room to come together without being on top of one another—a particularly useful feature by day four.

If the family has been saying, “We really should all go away together,” perhaps 2027 is the year to make it happen.

Now that the 2026 season has drawn to a close, we want to hear about the moments that made it special for you.

Perhaps it was the first time you took the helm, a perfect sailing day or the people on your flotilla who arrived as strangers and left firmly installed in the group chat.

Our kind of therapy.

Blue seas. Gin-clear water where you can see every fish and ripple of sand beneath the boat.

The steady pull of the sails, followed by a swim in a quiet bay.

Sunsets that make everyone stop talking for a moment.

Long dinners where nobody checks the time, shared with new friends who felt like strangers only a few days ago.

No rushing.

No endless list.

Just sea air, warm evenings and the gentle feeling that life has returned to the right speed.

Some holidays give you a break.

This one brings you back to yourself.

One thing a Sailing Holidays flotilla is good for is creating friendships that will last a life time🩵

This week on flotilla we have a group of 8 boats all sailing together! After meeting 5 years ago on an October half term flotilla, they now come back together every year, to create more amazing memories in the place it all began😎 Helping to bring together all the other flotilla crews and grow the community even more⛵️🥰

October half-term, Greece style.

A running jump into clear blue water.

A slow paddle across a sheltered bay.

The family yacht anchored quietly behind them and absolutely nowhere anyone needs to be.

For children, it is freedom.

A whole bay to explore, new skills to learn and stories that will be taken back to school long after the swimsuits have dried.

For parents, it is the rare pleasure of watching everyone completely absorbed in real life.

No elaborate entertainment required.

Just warm water, open skies and a boat carrying you towards tomorrow’s adventure.
