“Tranquil atmosphere but comfortable luxury. What stood out most was how personal everything felt. The staff were incredibly friendly and even different members remembered my dietary requirements throughout the trip.

I loved the 24/7 room service, luxurious Elemis toiletries, and thoughtful touches like chocolates and bottled water in the cabin, restocked & cleaned every time I returned. Traditional entertainment from magician shows to live music felt there were options to join in but there wasn't that pressure if you wanted to do your own thing in the gym, the spa or read a book in the library lounge.

Last night was something truly special — I had the chance to stay in an igloo aboard the National Geographic Endurance, and it was nothing short of magical. The room was incredibly snug, stocked with plenty of hot water bottles to keep cozy through the night.

With clear skies above, I watched shooting stars streak across the sky and even spotted the space station passing overhead — one of those surreal, pinch-me moments. Finished the evening with a lovely nightcap and great company, thanks for the wine Karen!

Woke up to an unforgettable scene as we sailed into Burrs Firth in Shetland — the northernmost reaches of the UK — greeted by a stunning morning. A perfect touch from hotel director Patrick, who delivered tea and pastries to start the day just right.

Absolutely a bucket-list experience I’ll never forget. ✨
