Emotional chaos has a way of becoming familiar.
The constant tension. The overthinking. The ups and downs. The need to respond, explain, fix, or engage.
Over time, intensity can start to feel normal — even when it’s draining you.
But peace doesn’t grow in that environment.
Peace requires distance from what repeatedly disturbs your inner stability.
It means choosing not to participate in every argument.
Not feeding every emotional impulse.
Not staying connected to what constantly unsettles you.
This isn’t emotional detachment.
It’s emotional clarity.
The ability to stay grounded even when things around you are not.
Because a calm mind isn’t built in chaos — it’s protected from it.
And slowly, the more you protect your peace, the less tolerance you have for instability disguised as normal life.
