Texas Flooding. One Week On.

We continue to think about the people, places and stories affected in Texas.

Our thoughts are with the camp communities of Mystic, Heart O’ the Hills and Stewart - and with everyone mourning the loss of campers and staff, including the incredible directors Dick Eastland and Jane Ragsdale. Their legacy lives on in the hearts of generations.

We are so proud of our Camp America participants, who showed courage and care in the most unimaginable circumstances.

To our International teams - thank you. From Friday morning and throughout the days that followed, you moved quickly and worked with care to support our participants on the ground and behind the scenes. Your presence meant everything.

We are sharing your stories this month for Pride! 🌈 here is Emily and Maddie’s, who are heading back to camp Elks Moore this summer! ✨emilyygrace

“I arrived late to camp because of my A-Level Exam, and Maddie was the first person that I spoke to, whilst I ate dinner and everyone else was singing and jumping on the tables! We had the most incredible summer, and spent the weekend in New York with our friends, before I went home. I still, three years later, have the 10 dollars Maddie gave me, in the back of my phone!

In 2020, we started dating, just before lockdown hit (so not quite a summer romance, even if our friends thought it was…🤣)! I ended up staying in Belfast through the first lockdown! we certainly felt the distance more over Covid, but we made it work!’
