Challenging perceptions, inspiring connections.

We aim to travel off the beaten path and uncover a way of life that is completely different to our own. To travel along evocative routes taking in some of the world's most spectacular scenery, exploring landscapes, cultures and cuisines and experiencing a country from its very heart. Wild Frontiers is committed to doing this in a r

esponsible way, minimising our impact on fragile cultures and environments. We are firm believers that travelling is all about the experience and it's in the details - the places you stay, the transport and route that gets you there, and the people you meet along the way - that make the trip. We draw on our own extensive local knowledge and array of contacts to create authentic, extraordinary travel experiences in some of the world's most captivating destinations.

Ever wonder what we get up to behind the scenes when we're not planning and booking your adventures?

Take a peek behind the curtain: in April, our Director of Product & Operations, Marc, and our Head of Operations, Sarah, went to New Delhi, India 🇮🇳 (with temperatures reaching 45 °C!) to train new guides!

Marc: "Spending time with 24 leaders, some old, some new, from all over India — from Assam in the North-East, to Gujarat in the West and from Tamil Nadu & Kerala in the South — made for a very special experience not just for myself and Sarah, but also for the leaders, several of whom had never travelled outside their regions before."

Sad to see Race Across the World end? The real adventure could be waiting for you…

Over the course of the journey, the teams travelled through Turkey and Georgia, across the vast Central Asian steppe, all the way to their final stop in Mongolia.

While we have itineraries exploring each of these countries at a slower pace, you can also experience an adventure that combines almost all of them into one unforgettable journey.

Our Great Silk Road Adventure starts in China and follows the ancient Silk Road route all the way to Turkey.

Our biggest trip to date, it covers six countries and around 12,000 kilometres over 48 days — enough time to truly soak it all in, while still delivering that epic Race Across the World sense of adventure.

If you’ve had enough of watching other people experience the joy of meeting new people, discovering contrasting cultures and learning a little about themselves along the way… why not make the next journey your own?

Spaces are limited for next year’s departures.

Three countries make up the lesser-known corner of South America, The Three Guianas: French Guiana, Suriname & Guyana. From coast to jungle and riverfronts, explore all three countries with our new small group tour!

A mix of colonial architecture and history, trekking through a forest and learning from indigenous guides about medicinal plants, and modern conservation are just the tip of the iceberg of what you can experience on this tour.

Tanzania is home to more than just the Big 5. 🇹🇿

Home to 450 species of mammals and around 1,100 of birds, we often hear about the Big 5 and the Great Migration, but there are so many more wonderful animals to see that we bet not everyone has heard of!

From the gorgeous lilac-breasted roller that looks like it’s straight out of a fairytale, a black and white colobus monkey that sometimes enjoys soil for a snack, to the rare antelope gerenuk with its long neck and massive ears, or the topi antelope that only eats grass and nothing else.

Tanzania is full of wonderful and unexpected wildlife spotting opportunities!

Race Across the World’s penultimate episode saw the teams truly challenged on the vast Mongolian steppe during the final leg of their journey. 🇲🇳

It perfectly encapsulated the raw adventure that travelling through Mongolia offers — breathtaking scenery, remote towns, and a genuine sense of welcome from the nomadic, resilient communities eager to share their culture and way of life.

Travelling through Mongolia independently certainly has its challenges, but exploring with Wild Frontiers allows you to fully enjoy every stop — and everything in between — immersed in those stunning, ever-shifting landscapes. With our small group tours, you’ll also experience the warmth of being welcomed into the fold like old friends.

Were you as blown away by the landscapes of Kyrgyzstan on last night’s Race Across the World as we were? 🇰🇬

Even with all our experience in the region, it still takes our breath away. Watching the team's journey through what many consider the most beautiful of the ‘Stans had us longing for those alpine vistas and towering mountains all over again.

But what really stayed with us were the local encounters — the moments that truly make a trip. That’s why our Kyrgyzstan Explorer group tour includes community stays, meeting a local eagle hunter, and a visit to a women’s cooperative, helping you connect with the people keeping Kyrgyz culture and traditions alive.

These scenic photos have us longing to visit villages in the Caucasus 🇬🇪🇦🇪🇦🇿

Visiting rural areas when you travel gives a new perspective on life. Your soul feels a sense of peace away from the hustle and bustle of cities, the air is fresher, and you have more chances to connect with remote communities, with tourism providing necessary income for them to continue preserving the life for future generations!

Here are our 5 favourite villages in the Caucasus:

1. Lahij, Azerbaijan, is famed for coppersmiths and is the heart of the handicrafts industry in the country
2. Gosh, Armenia, is home to Goshavank Monastery, one of the most important sites in Armenia
3. Yeghegnadzor, Armenia, is renowned for its distinct cheese, as well as wine production
4. Omalo, Georgia, is in the Tusheti region, where the locals live very much off-grid and protect their natural landscape
5. Sighnaghi, Georgia, is known as the “city of love” since you can get married here at any time of day, any day of the week

Which picturesque village would you like to visit?
