**I’m going to say it… you CAN overplan a motorcycle trip. 🏍️**

Don’t get me wrong — I’m a massive believer in preparation.

Know your route.

Know roughly where you’re getting fuel.

Have somewhere to sleep.

Know where you’re trying to end up that day.

But you don’t need to plan every minute in between.

Because then you’ll spot an incredible road…

…and ride straight past it because you’re “behind schedule”.

You’ll find an amazing little café…

…but you’ve already planned lunch somewhere else.

Or you’ll reach a viewpoint that deserves half an hour…

…and give it five minutes because you’ve got somewhere else to be.

**That’s not an adventure. That’s an appointment calendar with a motorcycle. 😂**

Plan enough that you can relax.

But leave enough freedom that the trip can surprise you.

Because years later, you probably won’t remember whether you arrived at the hotel at 5:15 or 6:00.

**You’ll remember the places you nearly rode past.**

🏍️ **So which one are you?**

**PLAN EVERYTHING 📋 or WING IT 🪽?**

👇 Let me know.

And send this to the mate who already has next year’s coffee stops scheduled to the nearest minute. 😂

This summer has been epic - covering the B500, Grimsel pass / Furka Pass / Gothard Pass, the Ardennes and some of the lovely French countryside. What’s been your highlight so far this year? Where are you aiming for next year? Are you a solo rider or a group rider? Experienced or novice to touring? If someone said you can only ride one more time - where would you go?

**Life when I’m offline… 🏍️🌍**

No emails. No deadlines. No notifications.

Just good roads, new places and wondering where the next coffee stop is. 😂☕

Sometimes you just need to switch off and ride.

The hardest part of riding Europe isn’t the riding…

It’s deciding to go.

That first trip can feel like a massive step.

Different roads.
Different signs.
Different countries.

And that little voice in your head asking, “Am I really ready for this?”

Then you cross that first border.
You get comfortable.

The roads start opening up.
And suddenly you’re riding through places you never thought you’d reach on your bike.

That’s the moment it clicks.

You realise you were more capable than you thought.

That’s what I love about motorcycle touring.

It’s not just about the roads or the bikes.

It’s about pushing yourself to experience something different and coming home with stories you’ll be telling for years.

And if you’ve been thinking about riding Europe but keep telling yourself “maybe next year”…

Maybe 2027 is the year you finally do it. 🏍️🇪🇺

What’s the one thing that’s stopping you?

👇 Tell me in the comments. You might not be the only one thinking it.
