Gifted in 1992 and carved by Indigenous artists, it’s one of the town’s most unexpected landmarks.

Look closer and you’ll spot the direction signs fixed to it — tiny reminders of how far the Falklands sit from everywhere else, pointing out the world beyond this windy waterfront.
