Whether tracing a relative or a general interest, we will give you memories to last a lifetime. Baxter's Battlefield Tours is an exciting battlefield tour company that aims to bring a more personal side to the stories and battlefield sites. Tours cover both the Great War battlefields across the entire western and eastern front and areas fought in and through during World War 2 from the landing beaches to Berlin
We offer set tours and bespoke tours for a general view or a more personal pilgrimage for large or small groups. As a small and new company we offer a start to finish tour and offer a research function where we can build up your families war story and then build a tour around the findings from just the smallest information supplied by our clients. As owner and main guide I pride myself in giving a real personal tour that you will never forget, whether it a general or bespoke pilgrimage. We also have guides at the start of there guiding career, full of enthusiasm, energy but above all knowledge looking for a break into the industry and so bring a real fresh and yet purely professional guiding experience to the company and tours. With less over heads and a more personal feel to the company from first contact to saying goodbye at the end of an amazing tour, we offer affordable, thought provoking, memory filled battlefield experiences that you will never forget. We look forward to helping you walk in the footsteps of your history.

Another seldom visited site, Commonwealth War Graves Commission War . The 147 men resting here, bar one all fell as they protected the line, as other units, under orders, retreated to the beaches of Dunkirk. The very very rarely visited Communal Commonwealth War Graves Commission . Not all men rest in vast well looked after cemeteries. In this local french village cemetery, 5 men now stand easy, all passing between Aug 1917 & Mar 1918. All were buried by the local villagers.

Knowing both these fantastic guys, I know what this means to them. If anyone can support them with a donation to an amazing cause, no matter how small, i know they will appreciate it and thank you more than you will know.

🚴‍♂️ This September, we’re taking on something big.

My mate Dave and I are cycling the Western Front Way — from Nieuwpoort in Belgium to the Somme. It’s not just a ride… it’s a journey through history, passing the battlefields where thousands gave everything.

We’ll be riding day after day, covering serious miles, but that’s nothing compared to what those soldiers endured.

That’s why we’re doing this for a cause.

We’re raising money to support vital work that helps people today — and every donation, no matter the size, genuinely makes a difference.

👉 If you can spare anything at all, please donate here:
https://www.justgiving.com/page/iananddavewesternfw

If you can’t donate, a share would mean just as much 🙏

Let’s turn this ride into something that matters.
