Sunshine and bluebells - and a close encounter with some roe deer. This was early morning on the ramparts of Burrow Hill Iron Age hill fort, near Craven Arms. The deer spotted me almost immediately and disappeared in a flash, but at least I got my shot.

Sunset casts a warm red glow over Titterstone Clee and the mining remains near the summit. It looks like autumn, but I took this picture earlier this week before the snow arrived. Titterstone was worked for coal as far back as medieval times, and the landscape bears witness to its industrial legacy both past and present.

🎄It's Day 18 in our Shropshire advent calendar and here is beautiful Ludlow beneath a layer of hoar frost. This was my view from Whitcliffe Common, and to say it was bitterly cold on that day would be a huge understatement! 🎅
