If booking for 2 or more nights you will only pay £100 per night booking direct with us, this offer only applies to stays in April and cannot be changed for any other dates.

As we get ready to open again for this season we would like to remind everyone that we are on the main booking sites but can also take direct bookings. Booking direct will always be discounted as we don’t have commissions to pay and we can offer better discounts for longer stays. There is also the option of setting up a payment plan for your stay. We use the same rules as booking sites for cancellations and date changes. Please DM for any further information 😊

I can confirm the words and pictures in this book are beautiful. It will bring back memories of parents or grandparents who had lived in places like these and the childhood memories come flooding back 🥰

Wow, what an amazing response to my book, ‘Abandoned’, since it was launched last Friday. Thank you to everyone who has a bought a copy or copies, either online at www.angusmackay.co.uk/abandoned or at the book signing at Waterlines last Saturday, or from one of my brilliant stockists. I have been blown away by the kind and generous comments I have received about the book, which really are much appreciated. I have also loved hearing of the memories and anecdotes it has evoked, and hope to hear of many more. It really has made all the effort worthwhile! :-)

I would also like to remind everyone that signed copies are available at Waterlines Lybster, Glencoast, The River Bothy, Puldagon Farm Shop & Restaurant and Caithness Livestock Breeders.

And whether you buy a book or not, why not have a browse through the amazing selection of stock each of them has. They have something for everyone on your Xmas list, or even better, to treat yourself. So, why not avoid the crowds and queues in the cities and keep your festive shopping local.
