🌟 My Honest Review of Nana Golden Beach, Crete 🌟
Having just returned from an amazing 2-week stay at Nana Golden Beach, I thought I'd share my thoughts for anyone considering this beautiful resort 🇬🇷☀️
We stayed in a Seafront Room, which was absolutely worth it. One of the biggest perks was access to the seafront breakfast restaurant, where we enjoyed breakfast each morning overlooking the sea. Starting the day with those views was pretty special! 🌊🥐☕
The first thing that stood out throughout our stay was the staff. They were genuinely incredible and couldn't do enough to help. By the second day many of them knew our drinks orders, remembered our daughter's name and always greeted us with a smile. The service was some of the best we've experienced.
Although Nana Golden Beach is a large resort, it never felt overcrowded. Even during peak times there was plenty of space to spread out, which is one of the biggest advantages of the hotel's size.
The hotel itself is stunning. Beautifully maintained gardens, incredible sea views and modern, spacious rooms throughout. Everywhere you looked there seemed to be another postcard-worthy view.
As a family, one of the biggest surprises was the Kids Club. Our daughter had never wanted to go to a kids club before, but she absolutely loved it and ended up going almost every day. The team were fantastic and there was always plenty going on to keep children entertained.
The à la carte restaurants were all very good, each offering a different theme and atmosphere. Guests are allocated three à la carte visits per seven-night stay, which gives plenty of opportunity to experience the different dining options available.
Food lovers certainly won't go hungry here! There are food options everywhere:
🍕 Snack bars throughout the resort
🍦 Ice cream and crêpe vans by the beach
🍰 A lovely patisserie serving delicious cakes and ice cream
🥗 Multiple lunch venues, including an à la carte option
🍹 Plenty of bars serving drinks throughout the day
The main pool was very popular and lively, particularly during the busiest parts of the day. However, with so many pools around the resort, we found ourselves gravitating towards some of the smaller pool areas, which felt more relaxed and each had their own snack bars nearby.
If I had one small observation, it would be the buffet restaurant. It's quite different from many hotels we've stayed in previously as it's located indoors and staff serve the food rather than guests helping themselves. This worked efficiently and certainly didn't impact our holiday enjoyment, but personally we tend to prefer buffet settings that have more of an outdoor, open-air feel.
Overall, Nana Golden Beach is a fabulous resort that genuinely offers something for everyone. Whether you're travelling as a family, a couple or looking for a more adult-focused experience, the variety of facilities, excellent service and beautiful setting make it easy to see why so many guests return year after year.
Would I return? Absolutely. 💙
