At Banff Castle there is an Elm tree that sadly needed to be cut down, but the trunk remains.

Local sculptor, Carn Standing, borrowed from Scottish mythology to carve a raven, a forest man, a druidess, and some marine elements.

Great news for the North East of Scotland! NEOS 2020 is going ahead with nearly 150 studios, and we have the map of all the participants to take away.

Included are studios doing Ceramics, Glass, Heritage Crafts, Illustrations, Jewellery, Mixed Media, Painting, Photography, Sculpture, Textiles, Wood and more.

All you need to do after receiving the map is call ahead so our artists can advise on safe visiting practices.

Look at those clouds, we may be in for a truly wonderful bit of thunder and lightning later. And storms in the North East of Scotland are something we look forward to. There is nothing better than the smell of the soil before the storm hits, and the sound of rain hitting the ground while the skies flash and rumble. We can't wait!
