We're just over six weeks away from the Mid Wales Tourism Conference 2026, and we couldn't wait to share our first wave of speakers with you 🥳

On the day, you can expect a session on tapping into the 'Purple Pound' and making your business more accessible and inclusive, with practical guidance from one of the UK's leading voices on accessible tourism.

A session unpacking Gen Z in the workplace, covering practical strategies for attracting, managing and retaining younger staff.

Expert guidance on succession planning, gifting and the tax considerations every family-run tourism business needs to know.

An exciting update on the Excalibur film project coming to Mid Wales, what it means for the region and how your business can get involved.

A look ahead to three major events heading to the region in 2027 and what you can do now to be ready.

Plus a session on welcoming neurodivergent visitors and what genuinely inclusive tourism looks like in practice.

And of course our very own Zoe Hawkins will be taking a moment to reflect on 35 years of Mid Wales Tourism, where we've come from and where we're heading next.

And there's more still to be announced!

Tickets are on sale now! For more info on speakers and what you can expect, go our website www.midwalestourismconference.co.uk

Mid Wales has a food and drink story worth telling, and this May, we're telling it.

As Wales welcomes chefs, food professionals and culinary talent from across the globe for the Worldchefs Congress & Expo at ICC Wales, we're launching a spotlight series celebrating the food and drink producers, makers and hospitality businesses across our region who are putting Mid Wales on the culinary map.

Over on our Visit Mid Wales channels, we'll be featuring our members in their own words throughout May, sharing the passion, provenance and people behind some of Wales's most exciting food and drink businesses. If you're not already following, give us a follow and watch the stories unfold.

This is the kind of campaign your business could be part of.

As an MWT Cymru member, you're not just joining a network. You're gaining a platform. From regional spotlight campaigns like this one to trade events, press opportunities and industry connections, membership puts your business in front of the right people at the right time.

The business events market isn’t just for large venues or city locations. It’s about offering something a little different, whether that’s space to meet, time to think, or a more personal, rural experience.

If you’re interested in how your business could make small changes to reach this market, get in touch. We’re always happy to have a chat and help you explore what’s possible.

We’re really pleased to see two of our members recognised in the Pitchup Review Awards.

Meadow Springs has been named as a regional winner in the Mid Wales category, a fantastic achievement and well deserved to be named in the top 10. Congratulations to the team there!

Nyth Robin has also been named a regional winner in the North Wales category, coming in at number 6, another hard worked for achievement. Congratulations again, Sadie!

Awards like this are built on consistently great guest experiences, and it’s a credit to the hard work that goes on behind the scenes in businesses like these every day.

If you’re part of the Mid Wales tourism community, it’s always encouraging to see local businesses doing well and being recognised on a wider stage.
