If you’ve been down to the quay this week, you may have noticed a lot of activity on Hydrogen as she gets partially converted to a “junk” for a film job. She headed down to the Medway for the film day and our two humble bargemen got converted to handsome extras for the day. She’s heading back to Maldon today. Hydrogen is coming home…

A sunset sail returning home to Maldon. Hydrogen celebrates her 120 year anniversary along with being awarded a National Historic Ship’s ‘flagship of the year’.

If you haven’t been aboard one of Maldon’s rivers cruises, it’s a great way to see the landscape from a different perspective.

“Hydrogen, which celebrates its 120th anniversary, was built by John Gill & Sons of Rochester, and originally carried tar, creosote and oil from the Thames and Medway to Grangemouth on the Firth of Forth. We had a fantastic Blues Cruise at the weekend. Our next music cruise is on Sunday 2nd August. A relaxing "Two Island" cruise with Jazz Singer Evangeline Brown.
Sailing 14.30-16.30 £50 per person and includes a Cream Tea.
Evangeline is a professional vocalist and musician based in Queenstown, New Zealand (originally from the UK) who performs a versatile mix of jazz, soul, classical and musical theatre.
