Lahtle Wood is an off - grid glamping site founded in 2019, tucked away in a beautiful secluded woodland, in the heart of the Vale of Pickering.
Our aim is to have three types of accommodation for you to choose from, all having their own private bathroom with wood fired shower. Currently we have Pheasant, these sleep up to 4 people. Phase 2 will be to accommodate groups of upto 5/6 people in our Shepherd’s Corner. Phase 3 will be accommodating couples for that extra special getaway. We will have the Lahtle Owl which sleep 2 people complete with your own hot tub. All our accommodation have been designed with you in mind and are insulated for your comfort. They all come with an outside kitchen area complete with a Cadac gas cooker and your own BBQ. We also provide a communal BBQ hut for eating and socialising on rainy days.
You can enjoy a relaxing holiday here at Lahtle Wood, with an abundance of wild birds throughout the site including the occasional sighting of the local goshawk. Catch a glimpse of the spitfire and jets that occasionally entertain the campers with their fly-by performance or forage amongst the trees to find fruits such as loganberries, red gooseberries, apples to name a few and cook up a treat on the BBQ.
Situated 9 miles from the wonderful market town of Malton, and only 28 miles from the city of York, we are perfectly located for you to explore both local attractions and afar. Visit Eden Camp, Flamingo land, and the Sea Life Centre, or simply take a stroll through the meandering pathways that take in the delightful views of this beautiful County.
