☀️ And just like that, the summer holidays are over! 🍂

Things have been a little quiet on the social media front over the summer, but thanks to the amazing The Sunnywood Project kindly allowing us to use their minibus, we still managed to squeeze in a few trips with some of our regular attendees 🏖️🦉🎨

A huge thank you to everyone who continued to support us through a slightly unusual summer, and to all of our young people heading back to school…or starting somewhere new for the very first time…we hope you have the best start to the new term! 🤞🥰

🎤 LET’S GO! MCR COMEDY FUNDRAISER! 🎤

We’ve got some exciting news to share! 🥰

One of our Let’s Go parents has very kindly organised a comedy fundraising night to help raise money towards our replacement minibus 🚌❤️

It’s going to be a proper night out with plenty of laughs, fundraising and a raffle with some lovely prizes up for grabs 🎁👏

We’d absolutely love to see some familiar faces there, as well as anyone who wants to come along, have a great night and support Let’s Go! Mcr at the same time 🙏❤️

🍂 SEPTEMBER ADVENTURES ARE HERE! 🍂

We’re so excited to be sharing our September trip schedule! 🎉

Thanks to the incredible support from The Sunnywood Project, who are very kindly allowing us to use their minibus, we’re able to keep the adventures going while we continue working behind the scenes to raise the funds needed for a replacement bus of our own 🚐💜

September is one of our favourite times to get out and about…the summer crowds start to disappear, destinations become a little calmer, and there’s still plenty of fun and adventure to be had! 🌳🎢🚲

We’ve got four fantastic trips lined up this month, with something for everyone…from animals and cycling to welly walks and a huge day out at Alton Towers!

We’d also love to welcome some new faces to Let’s Go! Mcr, so if your young person is aged 8–15 and would enjoy getting out, trying new things and making new friends, come and join us 🤗

Mountain challenge complete ✔️

Helvellyn you were brutal 😳 but we did it!!! Very tired and sore now but feeling very proud of myself and my little family. We did it for our amazing Let’s Go family 🧡

So far we managed to raise £340 in sponsor money from family and friends...please donate all you can to get us back on the road 🙏🙌🚐

Today was a really special day for Let's Go! MCR. ❤️
After several weeks without our own minibus, we were finally able to get back out on a trip thanks to the incredible kindness of our friends at The Sunnywood Project, who have very generously loaned us the use of their minibus for today and for some trips throughout August!! We are so grateful for their kindness 🙏

Our first stop today was the Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service centre in Bury, where the young people learnt so much about staying safe.

They explored a mock control room, walked through a purpose-built house and street, and learnt how to spot hazards and deal with potential dangers at home. It was such an engaging session and I think they all took away skills that will stay with them for life!

A huge thank you to the wonderful staff for making us feel so welcome 😊

We finished the day doing what we love most... spending time together at the park, climbing trees, laughing and simply enjoying the freedom of being outdoors with friends 🧡
Today reminded us just how important these trips are and how much they've been missed.

Although we're incredibly thankful to have the use of a minibus for a few weeks, we're still working hard to raise funds for a permanent replacement so we can continue supporting the children and young people who rely on us.

To everyone who has donated, shared our campaign, sponsored Rosie, or supported us in any way... thank you!! Your kindness and generosity are helping us get one step closer to having our own minibus again, and we couldn't do it without you. ❤️

Not everyone is in a position to donate money right now, and we completely understand that ❤️

But…if you’ve been meaning to have a clear out, we wondered if you might have anything lying around that you no longer need which we could sell to help raise money for our replacement minibus 🚐

We’ve just set up a Let’s Go! Mcr CIC eBay account, where we’ll be selling donated items, with every single penny raised going towards getting our young people back out on their adventures 💜

Clothes, toys, games, books, homeware, collectables…if it’s in good condition and someone else could enjoy it, we’d be incredibly grateful 🙏

If you’d like to donate anything, just send us a message and we’ll arrange to collect it whenever we can 😊

You never know…something that’s been tucked away in a cupboard for years could help us get one step closer to replacing our bus ❤️

We have a young lady who joins our trips on a very regular basis. Her younger brother has been patiently waiting for the last couple of years to turn eight so that he could finally come along on a trip with us.

This morning, he decided that he wanted to donate his pocket money to support our new bus fund 😭🙏🚐
