We are lucky. We don't get much abuse online and have never had to face any backlash in public. Having said that we are careful. We don't show affection publicly, not even holding hands, just in case.
It is sad that we, and friends of ours have to think like this. Things are changing, and not for the better, publicly and in politics.
If you only watch one drama this year then watch this one. It is a sad reflection of the times we now live in.

No campervan travels for a little while now, as we're counting down to our big trip to the Shetland Islands in September.
In the meantime, we thought we'd share some music from YUNGBLUD. We've seen him live and thought he was absolutely amazing. Whatever you think of his style, there's no denying he's a hugely talented performer with incredible energy on stage.
We'll be sharing some of our favourite YUNGBLUD videos over the coming weeks. Have you ever seen him live? Do you have a favourite track? Or is there another artist you'd happily travel miles to see?
We thought we'd start with Breakdown. It's a powerful and emotional piece, written during a difficult period in YUNGBLUD's life and accompanied by a short film starring the brilliant Dame Harriet Walter. The video explores themes of self-doubt, mental health and finding perspective when life feels overwhelming.

Sometimes we aren't able to park up in stunning locations, but this was a really good park up in Preston ahead of a day of rugby.
Really quiet. We arrived at 9.00pm and heard no cars through the night. A definite diamond in the rough of city park ups.

My Holiday on the Isle of Mull

I went to Mull with my Dads, my sister Bay and our campervan Amble. At first I sat in the back, but then I decided important travelling dogs should sit in the front and help look out for sheep, ferries, ice creams and otters. Sadly we never saw any otters.
I also discovered I like water now. Mull had beaches, rivers and little streams everywhere. Bay acted like a water expert, but I was brave too, even if I sometimes ran straight back out because Scottish water is freezing.
We went on lots of walks. My Dads called them “beautiful scenic trails.” I called them “places with exciting smells and mud.”
I also started a tick collection. My Dads were strangely not impressed and kept removing them with tiny tools while saying “not another one.”
At night we all slept in the van after big adventures. Bay acted like she had climbed Everest and I snored loudly to show I had worked hard too.
It was the best holiday ever. Next time though, apparently my tick collecting hobby is banned. 🐾
