This is Manchester. The Manchester derby takes place on Sunday where the two mighty teams of Manchester City, football club and Manchester United football club play each other. As the week progresses leading up to the big game. The friendly banter starts in the workplace in the streets and in the family homes. Rival Supporters begin to claim the bragging rights within the city. This is much more than a game of football. Each day from now, until kickoff on tension will rise and rise and rise. May the best team win as long as they’re playing in Blue.

Today is the day of the annual inspection of the vehicle by the local authority. This is a vigorous inspection to ensure the vehicle is safe to convey the public. The whole experience raises the anxiety levels. However, I’m pleased to announce that I got a pass without any advisories. 🎉🎉🎉 These are some of the signs that are displayed in the drivers waiting area. They tell a story from previous days when some drivers would attempt to bribe an inspector 😱😱

A chance meeting, I was looking for a fare and these wonderful people were looking for a taxi ride and flagged me down in the street. We all hit it off immediately and they took an impromptu decision to take my “soon to be famous” taxi tour and we had a great afternoon together. I loved showing them around and hopefully they will return home to Portugal with a great impression of Manchester and its people.

Heading into Manchester, check out this cocktail bar. The Top 50 Cocktail Bars in the UK have been named this week and in a stunning turn of events, Manchester has taken the top spot. .bar on Little Quay Street has stormed into first place, beating out the biggest names in the drinks industry.
The judges said that this drinking spot, created by Bury-born brothers Joe and Daniel Schofield, is ‘impressive’ and noted that it’s the first Manchester bar to ever take the number one spot for the
award.

Right in the middle of China Town. Manchester’s little known about nuclear bunker.
The Guardian Underground Telephone Exchange (GUTE) also known as ‘Scheme 567’ is a 1950s nuclear-hardened facility designed to safeguard cold war communications. The site was classified under a ‘D Notice’ in the fifties to prevent the media from writing about it. Let me show you all the places to go and equally where not to go.
