After starting my career in 1993 as a YTS trainee travel agent for Hogg Robinson Travel, I soon got hooked! I am now very proud to be a self-employed Personal Travel Expert running my own business franchise with Travel Counsello

After 6 years of running my travel business, I was delighted to achieve GOLD STATUS - an accolade held by just a small number of Travel Counsellors in recognition of their sales contribution. In addition, I have also been recognised for being in the TOP 20 WORLDWIDE within the Travel Counsellor community for scoring 100% Customer Satisfaction. I work from home, which means that unlike when you book on the internet, I am available to speak to at any time should you have any queries or problems. This means that you will have the same point of contact throughout every stage. Your booking will sit with me and I will personally take care of every detail. I will complete any advanced passenger info, online check in, print boarding passes, provide you with luggage labels and deliver any paperwork as required and you will have access to a 24 hour DUTY OFFICE to assist with any emergencies should they arrive whilst you are away. I always contact the hotels to ensure that they look after my guests on arrival and if you are celebrating a special occasion such as honeymoon or have any special requests, I will do my best to liaise with the hotel to ensure they make a note of this on your booking - subject to availability of course. And just like that, summer begins to draw to a close… ✨

And what a summer it has been.

I’ve been lucky enough to enjoy some truly special moments — a wonderful escape to Cascais with friends, followed by an incredible Travel Counsellors Gold trip to the Athenian Riviera, surrounded by beautiful places, fabulous experiences and great company.

Then came a milestone of my own — turning 50 — which I celebrated with my husband in Ibiza, staying in the most gorgeous hotel with our own private plunge pool.

The perfect setting for a very special birthday weekend. 🥂

I also managed to tick something off my bucket list this summer: seeing Calvin Harris live in his hometown of Glasgow — an experience I’d wanted to have for such a long time and one that certainly didn’t disappoint.

And alongside all of those personal highlights came a very special professional milestone too:

Something I’m incredibly proud of and, most importantly, so grateful to every client who has trusted me to create their holidays and adventures over the years.

We have just had the best day .
Together with my family I was invited to explore the Majestic Princess today .

It is currently docked in Liverpool during its 12 night British Isles and Ireland Cruise .
