🎉 17 YEARS of The Departure Lounge! ✨✈️

17 years ago today, The Departure Lounge opened its doors for the very first time…

Wow — I can’t actually believe I’m saying it was seventeen years ago. Looking back, I must have been running purely on adrenaline when we launched — my son was just 3 months old at the time, hormones all over the place — but I was so determined to make it work.

It’s been an incredible ride. From volcanic ash clouds and the fall of Thomas Cook to the challenges of Covid — we’ve weathered some storms. But honestly, I wouldn’t change a thing. Today, I’m feeling reflective and so grateful for the memories made and all the fun we’ve had along the way.

I feel truly fortunate to be part of such a wonderful industry — one that allows us to explore, discover, and experience the world in the most unforgettable ways. And yes, somehow… we get to call that work! 🌍💫

To each and every one of you who’s trusted us with your travel plans over the years — thank you from the bottom of my heart. Every single booking is so appreciated, and it means the world to us. We love looking after you and will continue to do so with pride and passion.
