was a dream....3 hour flight, 20 min ferry and paradise.
No cars, cash only island, white sand, waves, seafood, lazy days.

Top tip - take the open top bus central route approx 90 mins to take in all the sights THEN decide what you want to visit 😀 approx 20 euros and other routes to Piraeus (the port) and the Riviera are available

Changing of the guards on the hour, every hour is a fascinating watch!

Is a peaceful lovely afternoon approx 40 minutes taxi out of the city ☺️

Highly recommend walking up the Acropolis early before the crowds and the heat and wear trainers as the marble is slippy 😎

Book a table for an evening meal at For stunning views over the city and the Acropolis lit up 😍

Monastiraki is a must for great food, atmosphere and the flea market. Take cash, you're welcome 😉

If you've time factor in a beach day on the Riviera, research beach clubs and take the metro or bus very easily.

End your short break with a sunset picnic up hill, a stunning sunset one side over Athens City and the opposite side the Acropolis 😍✌️

Agistri Island Greece 🇬🇷🇬🇷🇬🇷

✈️ Into ⛴️ from Piraeus port 55 minutes approx £15

STUNNING 😍

Beautiful clear sea, slightly rocky at the shore but nothing your little feet can't handle 😎 September the ocean was a gorgeous temperature to cool down from the intense 30+ degrees

Head into Skala for fabulous food and the best views 😍

Highlight - hiring a moped!! 25 Euros for 24 hours - Bargain! Top tip! Check your driving license includes a motorbike, you cannot hire without, head to the rental hire BEFORE the daytrippers arrive.....the island does get busy.....

We spent the afternoon at Sunrise beach bar, sunlounger hire only 20 Euros for 2 with a parasol & waiter service 🫶

There are a handful of luxury boutique hotels and guest houses. The island is only 5.2 square miles, perfect for couples & friends wanting authentic & peaceful ✌️

I just wish we'd stayed longer 😝

After YEARS of being totally unorganised travelling and "winging it" I decided to get organised!! And wow what a difference these little gadgets made!!

My absolutel fave the iWALK Global portable charger 😎

If you worry about losing, dropping or having your phone stolen I recommend Holdmate easy to attach to your phone and bag/ clothing with a retractable cord.

You'd think in 2026 all sockets would be USB by now 🤷‍♀️ carrying a European plug makes night charging so much easier and less chance of leaving your adapter behind 🤪

Electrolytes are a must for me in everyday life, not just on holiday. My current fave is Humantra black 🍒

And I NEVER go without my Dock & Bay | Ultimate Towels towels, we all have one in our house. So easy to pack, super fast drying, non smelly and gorgeous styles to choose from. I insist you purchase immediately 😝

" We had an amazing time. Really glad we did the 4 nights at Universal, Loews Portofino Bay was lovely and the room and pools were gorgeous.
We were so lucky with the weather and no delays with flights or anything so all went to plan. Feel like I need a week on a beach to recover from all the steps but it was definitely a holiday of a lifetime and we loved it.
