5 LAPLAND MYTHS YOU NEED TO STOP BELIEVING ❄️

MYTH 1: “It’s all about Santa.”
Yes, Santa is magical… but Lapland is so much more. Think husky safaris, reindeer rides, snowmobiles, frozen forests, tobogganing hills, Northern Lights hunts and cosy fireside evenings. It is a full winter adventure, not just a meet-and-greet.

MYTH 2: “Lapland is just for families with young children.”
Lapland is incredible for little ones, but it is just as special for couples, adults and teens. Peaceful snowy landscapes, starry skies, hot tubs under the night sky and wilderness excursions make it a dream for romantic escapes, friend trips and multigenerational families too.

MYTH 3: “It’s freezing, so you won’t be able to enjoy anything.”
🥶 Yes, it’s cold but you’re prepared for it! The right clothing makes a huge difference, and there are plenty of warm, cosy places to escape to between adventures. In fact, being wrapped up in the snow is part of the experience.

MYTH 4: “Everywhere in Lapland is the same.”
Not at all. Different areas, resorts and towns offer very different experiences. Some are lively with lots of family activities on the doorstep, others are quieter and more remote, ideal for adults. You can stay in traditional log cabins, stylish hotels or glass-roofed igloos; close to ski slopes or tucked away in the forest. Where you stay shapes the whole feel of your trip.

MYTH 5:”You have to wait until Christmas week.”
You really do not. Early December still feels wonderfully festive and can offer more choice and a slightly calmer atmosphere. January and beyond can be fantastic for deep snow, longer days on the slopes and better chances of seeing the Northern Lights.

✨ The truth? Lapland is one of those trips where the memories feel even bigger than the photos: that first step into deep snow, the whoosh of a husky sled, the stillness of the forest, the chance of the aurora dancing above you… and finally, meeting Santa.

You may have seen the news around the recent Manchester Airport Group cyber attack, but there’s now another important update.

Data stolen from Manchester, Stansted and East Midlands Airports has reportedly been leaked online, affecting millions of customers. The information accessed includes details connected to airport Wi-Fi sign-ups, car parking, lounge and Fast Track bookings, with email addresses, phone numbers, vehicle registrations and postcodes among the data involved.

The really important thing now is to be extra cautious.

If you receive an unexpected email, text or phone call claiming to be from Manchester Airport, MAG, a parking provider or another travel company, don’t automatically trust it and don’t offer any bank details.

If in doubt, don’t click. Don’t reply. Don’t give out information. Go directly to the official website or app and check there instead.

Please share this with anyone you know who regularly travels through these airports .
