INNOVATION ALERT: Solving the Flat Roof Balustrade Problem
Ever tried specifying a glass balustrade on a flat roof, only to find standard side-mounted systems can't clear the guttering?

Fixing into the roof voids warranties and risks leaks. We've been there too—so we engineered a solution.

Introducing our Long Reach Side-Mounted Balustrade System:

130mm clearance (vs standard 60mm)
Clears guttering with room to spare
No roof penetrations = warranties intact
Clean, modern aesthetics

There's literally no other system on the market that solves this problem.

We built it because our clients needed it.

Perfect for roof terraces, elevated decking, and flat roof extensions across Manchester, Lancashire, and the North West.

💡 Got a flat roof but can’t fit a balustrade?

Fixing into a flat roof can cause leaks, void your warranty, and you never really know what you’re drilling into.
That’s why we’ve designed our long-reach side-mounted balustrade system — perfect for when there’s a gutter in the way and standard systems just don’t fit!

Most off-the-shelf systems only give you 60mm clearance from the fascia, which isn’t enough in most cases.
👉 Ours allows up to 130mm clearance — keeping your roof watertight and your balustrade perfectly aligned.

✅ No leaks
✅ No warranty issues
✅ Clears gutters easily
✅ Sleek, modern finish

HERITAGE MEETS MODERN CRAFTSMANSHIP

We're incredibly proud to share our latest project - a stunning frameless glass balustrade installation at the historic Summerseat Railway Goods Shed!

Project Highlights:
🔹 Grade II listed building from 1847
🔹 21.5mm toughened laminated glass panels
🔹 Sleek stainless steel handrails
🔹 Preserving Victorian hand-cranked crane views
🔹 Perfect blend of safety and heritage

This remarkable building beside the East Lancashire Railway presented us with a unique challenge - creating modern safety solutions whilst respecting nearly two centuries of architectural heritage.

The result? A clean, contemporary installation that enhances rather than compromises this piece of railway history.

Our frameless design preserves sightlines to showcase the original Victorian engineering whilst meeting all contemporary building standards.

It's projects like this that demonstrate why heritage expertise matters in steel fabrication!
