Texas roadtrip blog #2
Think you know Texas? Think again.
Beyond Austin, Fort Worth and the famous Stockyards is a wilder, more rural side of Texas – and I absolutely loved it.

Think backroads, ranches, horses, huge Texas skies, off-road adventures, proper biker bars, live music and a little Southern hospitality along the way.

We headed from Fort Worth towards Granbury, Bluff Dale and the Texas Hill Country, discovering some of the places you might otherwise drive straight past.

This is the Texas I'd go back for – less polished, more adventurous and full of unexpected experiences.

Finally done a write up from our trip to Austin & Fort Worth and posting the rest of the pics! Another blog to come...

Three nights in Austin staying at the fabulous W Austin perfectly placed in the heart of downtown .

From live music and dive bars to incredible BBQ, craft b**r, cowboys, horses and a few Harley stops along the way – this trip had a bit of everything.

Then it was on to Fort Worth and the legendary Fort Worth Stockyards for more music, longhorns and proper Texas atmosphere.
