Every Coeliac has a story - Episode 3

This is the founder of ’s the gluten free fast food chain (coming soon!)

I've known sonny for a few years now and he came on my first preview gluten free walking tour in London. He is so nice and his story to diagnosis really shows how important that coeliac diagnosis is!

I am so excited for Sonny's to launch as it's going to be amazing for the gluten free community to finally have an on the go option that is fully safe!

Interviewing Christopher Kidd, Commercial Director on my Cate's GF Tours Preview tour back in March.

In light of Coeliac awareness month, I saved this interview to upload for this month as I think it is a really important month to share what Coeliac disease is, and what coeliac UK are working towards and to spread awareness.

If you didn't know, Coeliac UK are the only UK charity that support and help people with coeliac disease, and they are fantastic. They've helped me since being diagnosed 16 years ago and helped so many other people across the UK!

Christopher is fantastic and was great fun on the tour! It was so lovely to talk to him and get to know more about Coeliac UK and their mission. If you are looking for support or help, they are a great place to start ☺️

✨ Every Coeliac has a story ✨ - Episode 1

In light of I have started a series All about sharing every coeliacs journey. I really want people to understand that everyone's journey to their Coeliac diagnosis is SO DIFFERENT! Some people it's such an easy process and some people it takes years and years. I will be interviewing different people that have been on my gluten-free walking tour in Kensington and Notting Hill

First up is the lovely 💚 She attended my tour a few weeks ago and was happy to share her coeliac diagnosis story with us. If you feel comfortable in the comments, it would be great to know how your story to diagnosis was 💚

10 coeliacs. One Family. 🤯

The gene is STRONG 🤣🧡

10 out of a possible 15 of us have coeliac... Crazy 😧 🤯

It all started in 2006 with Josh being diagnosed and since then 9 more of us have been diagnosed!

What is crazy is that Josh's Family have the gene DOUBLED! Both their grandma's from both sides of the family have coeliac disease... So there is even more chance of them having it (4 out of 6 of them do!)

We all have varied symptoms from diarrhoea to stomach pains to headaches, and some of them have no symptoms at all!

If you have a family member with coeliac disease and are having symptoms related to coeliac disease then please take the coeliac disease self assessment test from and go and request a consultation with you GP.

Many of the coeliacs in our family have been tested more then once (including my sister ) always showing negative until last year. Coeliac can be triggered at any time. So don't forget to retest especially if symptoms start to occur.

And as for us as a family... Christmas is fantastic! 🤣⛄🌲 More coeliacs then not so everything is of course all gluten free!

A question I get all the time

Is everything actually gluten free?

I think when people come and join my tour they are so used to having to ask so many questions and it just feels unnatural to be relaxed and not having to ask all the questions like they normally do!

But yes, everything is 100% gluten free on the Kensington and Notting Hill tour. We only visit 100% gluten-free venues. There is no chance of any cross-contamination so you have nothing to worry about and that's from a fellow coeliac 😊😊
