🌅 IBIZA – THE (VERY) EXTENDED 40TH BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS! 🥂

Some friendships really do stand the test of time… ❤️

In a couple of weeks, five of us are heading to Ibiza as part of our (very) extended 40th birthday celebrations — and this isn’t just a girls’ trip with friends.

We met 20 years ago at university, studying languages together, and somehow, two decades, countless memories, life changes, weddings, children and everything in between later… we’re still going strong! 🥰

So what better way to celebrate than a few days in Ibiza?

We’re staying in Cala San Miguel, in the north of the island, at the beautiful Curio Collection by Hilton, and we’ve got a pretty fabulous few days planned.

There’ll be plenty of time for relaxing and enjoying the sunshine, but we’ve also picked out some fantastic places to eat, have a night out planned to properly let our hair down 💃🏼🥂 and there’s a boat trip on the horizon, where we’re hoping to take in one of those incredible Ibizan sunsets. 🌅

And that’s exactly why I love Ibiza as a destination. It can be whatever you want it to be — from beautiful beaches and hidden coves to fabulous food, sunset cruises, stylish hotels and a great night out when you fancy it.

I’m looking forward to experiencing a little more of the island for myself and, of course, I’ll be sharing some of our adventures along the way! 🇪🇸☀️

There’s something extra special about seeing clients come back to you time and time again ❤️

I’ve already had the pleasure of booking two summer holidays for Helen and her children, and this time we’ve been planning something a little closer to home for October half term.

After hearing how much they loved their action-packed trip to York earlier in the year, we looked at all the possibilities around Filey and found them a lovely Sykes cottage that gives them the perfect base to get out and explore, be as active as they fancy… and enjoy some downtime too.

And the added bonus? 🐾 The dog can come along too!

I absolutely love meeting new clients and helping them discover holidays that work perfectly for their family. But there’s something really special about becoming the person they return to whenever they’re ready to plan their next adventure.

Some places are beautiful. Some places feel like home. ❤️🇲🇪

The Bay of Kotor holds such a special place in my heart. Nearly 50 years ago, it’s where my parents first met. Growing up, they would bring us back here to visit and proudly point out, “This is where we met.” Over 20 years ago, they bought a little flat here too, making this beautiful part of Montenegro an even bigger part of our family story.

After nine years away, I’ve finally been back — this time with all three of my children — and it’s been incredibly special to see it all again through their eyes.

And what a reminder of just how fabulous this place is. The breathtaking mountains meeting the sparkling Adriatic, beautiful old towns and villages, incredible food, warm and friendly people, and that unmistakable feeling that makes the Bay of Kotor so unique. 💙

There’s something rather magical about bringing your children to a place that has been such an important part of your own childhood and family history. So many memories came flooding back, while at the same time we were making new ones of our own.

This booking was for a family heading to Paris just before Christmas to celebrate their daughter’s 16th birthday — a very special occasion and one they wanted to turn into some wonderful family memories. 🇫🇷🎂✨

I put together a package that included:

🚆 Return train travel to London
🏨 An overnight stay in London, just 5 minutes’ walk from St Pancras
🚄 Return Eurostar travel to Paris
🏨 A lovely Parisian hotel for their stay

☀️ Grecotel LUXME Oasis — our family holiday in the Peloponnese 🇬🇷

As a Travel Counsellor, I’m always looking at a resort from both a personal and professional perspective — and this one was a huge hit with our family of five! ❤️

With three children aged 9, 7 and 5, we stayed for 10 nights, which felt like the perfect length of time.

🍽️ The all-inclusive was fantastic, with table service for drinks at every meal and a great choice of wines. Mr Harris and I loved sampling the local wines — our favourite was Melios! 🍷

We also enjoyed all four à la carte restaurants. The Italian was such a favourite that we went back for a second time — and the kids were delighted to have their beloved minestrone soup again! 🍝

💦 The water park was brilliant, with slides for little and bigger kids, while the lazy river and slides at the Oasis Pool were favourites with all three. I particularly loved joining the aqua aerobics sessions!

🏖️ Direct access to the gorgeous sandy beach was a real bonus, and the shallow sea made it wonderfully family-friendly.

There’s also a beautiful infinity pool with stunning sea views, plus a shaded baby pool.

The service was amazing, the facilities were fabulous and it never felt too busy — we always found sun loungers.

Absolutely perfect for families and a resort I would 100% recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

✨ Grecotel Oasis – a family holiday we absolutely loved! ✨

As a travel counsellor, I’m always looking at a resort from both a personal and professional point of view — and Grecotel LUXME Oasis really did tick every box for our family of five. 💙

We travelled with our three children, aged 9, 7 and 5, and stayed for 10 nights, which felt like the perfect amount of time. From the moment we arrived, we knew we’d made a great choice.

🍽️ The all-inclusive offering is fantastic. We loved the choice and quality of the food, but one of the things that really stood out was the table service for drinks at all meals. No queuing up at a bar or carrying drinks back to the table — everything was brought to us.

And the choice of delicious wines was a real highlight for Mr Harris and me! We loved choosing a different bottle to sample with our evening meals, particularly the local wines. Our favourite was Melios — definitely one to look out for! 🍷

We were also able to dine in all four à la carte restaurants, and every single one was fabulous. We actually chose to return to the Italian for our final à la carte evening because we loved it so much at the beginning of our holiday — and it was just as good the second time around. The children were especially delighted to have the minestrone soup again, which they absolutely adored! 🍝❤️

💦 The water park was a huge hit! The kids — and Mr Harris! — had the best time. There are slides suitable for younger children as well as bigger kids, making it brilliant for a family with children of different ages. Having such a fantastic water park right on the doorstep was a real bonus.

🏝️ There are also some lovely pool options. Upstairs, there’s a deeper infinity pool with stunning sea views, while downstairs is the Oasis Pool, where we spent most of our time.

The Oasis Pool was a particular favourite of mine — I loved taking part in the aqua aerobics sessions! It was such a fun way to get active while still enjoying the sunshine and beautiful surroundings. ☀️💦

Despite the resort being family-friendly, the pool never felt overly busy and we always managed to find sun loungers. The lazy river and couple of slides were firm favourites with all three children, and there’s also a baby pool with shade — perfect for younger little ones.

🏖️ And then there’s the beach… direct access to a beautiful sandy beach was amazing. The sea remained shallow for quite a long way out, which made it particularly family-friendly for our three.

Throughout our stay, the service was amazing, the facilities were fabulous and the whole resort felt so well suited to families. There was plenty for everyone to enjoy, while still giving us those lovely moments to relax and unwind as parents.

As a family of five, we genuinely couldn’t have asked for more. Grecotel Oasis was absolutely perfect for us, and I would 100% recommend it to families looking for a fantastic all-inclusive holiday in Greece. 🇬🇷☀️

Coming home from holiday should come with a warning… 😭✈️

Because nobody prepares you for the trauma of going from:

🥞 An amazing choice at breakfast
🍴 Indulgent gyros and pancakes at lunch
🍽️ À la carte dinners
🥂 Table service
☀️ Sunshine
🌊 And absolutely no need to know what day of the week it is…

…to opening your own fridge and thinking, “Oh. This is it now?” 😂

We’ve just returned from the most incredible stay at Grecotel LUXME Oasis in the Peloponnese, and I am currently mourning the loss of our holiday — and, quite frankly, the loss of being looked after so beautifully!

I will be doing a proper post about the amazing experience we had, the resort, the food, the service and everything that made it so special…

…but I need a little time.

Specifically, until I’ve finished mourning the holiday and my bracelet comes off. 😂😂

Because if you know, you know… there’s something particularly heartbreaking about still wearing your all-inclusive bracelet while sitting at home eating toast. 🤣

Helping you find holidays worth mourning when they’re over! ✈️🌍

Some places really do leave a lasting impression, and Grecotel La Riviera is definitely one of them. 💙

This evening I had the pleasure of enjoying dinner at Hot Stone, and it was such a memorable experience. Cooking perfectly selected cuts of meat and fresh seafood on a sizzling volcanic stone at the table was not only delicious but great fun too. Every bite was full of flavour, and the service was exceptional from start to finish.

As I looked out over the beautiful coastline, it reminded me why I love discovering special places to recommend to my clients. Grecotel La Riviera combines understated luxury with genuine Greek hospitality, beautiful beachfront surroundings, elegant accommodation, and a relaxed atmosphere that makes it so easy to unwind.

It’s the kind of resort where you can spend your days by the sea, enjoy wonderful food, and simply slow down and savour every moment.

Tomorrow, the Harris family is officially off on holiday! 🌴☀️

We’re so excited to be heading to Grecotel LUXME Oasis for some much-needed family time, and we honestly can’t wait to make some amazing memories together.

I’ll have my laptop with me, so I’ll still be keeping an eye on things, but my replies may be a little slower than usual. Sometimes Sundays call for something special… 🥂

A reminder of the fabulous Champagne Maitre Geoffroy, where we enjoyed such a relaxed and welcoming tasting during our visit to Champagne. It’s always those personal experiences that make a trip so memorable.

We couldn’t resist bringing home a bottle of their beautiful Blanc de Blancs “Impulsion”, and tonight seemed like the perfect excuse to pop the cork and enjoy a glass. ✨

Here’s to slowing down, savouring wonderful memories, and ending the weekend in style. Santé! 🍾💛
