Visitor Update – Sunday 7 June

Recent stormy seas have caused the channel at Chapel Rock to fill with sand, meaning boats will only be able to operate until 12:30pm today.

Visitors arriving before 12:30pm can travel to the island by boat. After 12:30pm, the next opportunity to access or leave the island will be via the causeway, which opens at 2:45pm.

If you are booked to visit between 12:30pm and 2:45pm, please arrive before 12:30pm or plan to cross via the causeway when it opens at 2:45pm.

Please note there will be an approximate two-hour period when there is no access between the mainland and the island.

If this means you are unable to visit today, you can use your existing tickets on any day up to and including Friday 12 June and any unused tickets will be refunded by Monday 15 June.

Thank you for your understanding.

⚠️ Visitor Update – Thursday 4th June

Due to poor sea conditions, our ferry boats will not be operating on Thursday 4 June.

The island, castle, harbour village and shops will still be open while the causeway is accessible on foot, between 12:45 and 16:00. Last entry to the castle and garden is 15:00.

If you have tickets booked before 12:45 or after 15:00, please plan to arrive before the last entry time.

If you’re unable to visit tomorrow, your existing tickets can be used on Friday 5 June without needing to rebook or contact us.

Any unused tickets will be refunded automatically from Monday 8 June, with funds expected to reach your account within 5–7 working days.

As a tidal island, we’re governed by the forces of nature, and occasionally those forces work against us.

Thank you for your understanding, and we hope to welcome you to St Michael’s Mount very soon.
