After a summer of watching the men’s World Cup unfold, it’s hard not to get caught up in it all.

The big moments, the atmosphere, the matches everyone ends up talking about afterwards. And as much as we love watching sport from home, there’s always that thought: imagine actually being there.

That’s what got us thinking about the sporting moments we’d travel for in 2027.

Because for us, a sporting event doesn’t have to be the whole holiday. It can be the reason you choose a destination in the first place, and then you build a brilliant trip around it.

Wimbledon is a perfect example. We’ve been a couple of times ourselves and there’s something very different about experiencing it in person. It’s not just the tennis — it’s the atmosphere around the grounds and the whole day that makes it feel special. We’d happily make a few days of it, add some time in London and turn it into a proper break rather than simply travelling in and out for the event.

And that’s exactly how we’d approach any sporting trip for our clients.

Four days off doesn’t sound like much… until you pick the right place to spend them.

We’re big believers that you don’t always need a week or two away to feel like you’ve had a proper break. Some of our favourite trips are the shorter ones — a few days somewhere different, good food, plenty to explore and just enough time away from everyday life.

The trick is choosing the right destination.

When you’ve only got four days to play with, we wouldn’t want to spend half of them getting there. We look at sensible flight times, straightforward transfers and destinations where you can actually make the most of your time from the moment you arrive.

Here’s one of those travel offers we think is genuinely worth knowing about.

TUI’s current £0 deposit offer is one we wanted to put on your radar.

Virgin Voyages is heading somewhere new… and we think this could be a very exciting one.

From 13th August, Virgin Voyages will be launching its new Scandinavia & Baltics sailings, opening up a completely different side of Europe to explore.

If you’ve always fancied seeing more of Scandinavia, discovering the Baltic or simply want a cruise that feels a little different from the usual Mediterranean itinerary, this is definitely one to have on your radar.

We’re big fans of cruises that allow you to experience several completely different places in one trip, and this part of the world is made for it. Beautiful waterfront cities, incredible scenery, fascinating history and destinations that you might not necessarily book for a standalone holiday — all without having to keep packing and unpacking along the way.

Then there’s Virgin Voyages itself.

It’s adults-only, brilliantly different from the traditional cruise experience and a great option for anyone who likes the idea of cruising but perhaps hasn’t found the right cruise line for them yet. Planning a better holiday doesn’t always mean spending more. Sometimes, it’s simply about making better choices at the right stage of the booking.

We plan holidays every day, and one thing we’ve learned is that the smallest details can have the biggest impact on the overall experience.

A flight that lands at a more convenient time can give you an extra afternoon by the pool instead of losing most of your first day.
