Sea Cloud Day 8 – Disembarkation

As our incredible eight-day journey aboard Sea Cloud II comes to an end, we leave with hearts full of wonderful memories and unforgettable experiences. From breathtaking islands and exceptional cuisine to magical evenings under sail, every day has been something to treasure.

One of the greatest highlights has been the friendships we've made along the way. We were fortunate to meet people who we know will remain lifelong friends, and we’re already looking forward to visiting them in Germany and Greece.

If you've ever dreamed of experiencing the romance of traditional sailing while discovering some of Greece's most beautiful and unspoilt islands, I cannot recommend Sea Cloud II highly enough. Her itineraries extend far beyond the Greek Isles, with voyages throughout the Mediterranean and other stunning destinations.

If you're considering a Sea Cloud II voyage, I'd be delighted to help you plan a journey that's every bit as memorable as ours.

Day 7 – Poros
Our final port of call was the charming island of Poros. Meaning “passage” in Greek, Poros is a favourite escape for Athenians, renowned for its picturesque waterfront and beautifully preserved historic houses that give the town its timeless character and charm.
After exploring this delightful island, we set sail once more for Athens, bringing our unforgettable voyage aboard Sea Cloud II to a close. The Captain’s Farewell Cocktail and Dinner was the perfect finale—an elegant evening celebrating an extraordinary week at sea.
As we returned to our cabin, thoughts of disembarkation were the last thing on our minds. Instead, we made one final visit to the Lido Bar, enjoying the moonlit deck and reflecting on the incredible memories we had made.
What an amazing journey aboard Sea Cloud II—one that will stay with us for a very long time.

Sea cloud II Day 6 – Nauplio, Peloponnese

Today, we had the fantastic experience of swimming directly from the platform of Sea Cloud II. 🌊

We spent a wonderful hour swimming, relaxing, and simply enjoying the sea—an unforgettable experience and a truly special extra to have on board.

What a fantastic way to make the most of life at sea! ☀️⛵

We finally left the islands behind and arrived on mainland Greece, where we visited the beautiful coastal town of Nauplio. Even the tender ride ashore felt like part of the adventure!

Guests had the opportunity to discover the area’s hidden beauty by bicycle or paddle along the coastline—and, as we’re on holiday, we happily opted for the paddling excursion. 🚣‍♀️🌊

Back aboard Sea Cloud II, another exceptional four-course dinner awaited us, perfectly complemented by superb wines. We ended the evening relaxing on deck beneath the moonlit sky, reflecting on yet another unforgettable day.

This journey is truly becoming a dream come true. ✨⛵🇬🇷

Day 5 – Milos
Another day, another Zodiac ride ashore—today’s destination was the beautiful island of Milos. We explored the island’s highlights, including the charming old capital of Plaka, with its whitewashed streets, breathtaking views, and authentic Cycladic character. Every island seems to have its own unique charm, and I’m completely falling in love with the Cyclades.
Back on board, the evening was every bit as memorable. The Lido Bar hosted a spectacular Big Fish Buffet, followed by a lively performance from the Shanty Singers. Needless to say, I couldn’t resist joining in—Whitney, watch out! The celebrations continued with dancing late into the evening to DJ Nicolae’s music.
I’m beginning to wonder if I’ll ever come down from the high of this incredible cruise!

Day 4 – Katapola, Amorgos
Today’s adventure began with another Zodiac ride ashore, this time to the picturesque harbour of Katapola on the island of Amorgos. Made up of three charming villages surrounding the bay, Katapola offers a wonderfully authentic Greek atmosphere, with colourful fishing boats, a beautiful waterfront promenade shaded by tamarisk trees, and a relaxed island charm.
A visit to the historic Church of Panagia Katapoliani is well worth your time, standing on the site of an early Christian basilica and, according to tradition, an even older ancient temple. If you’re visiting Amorgos, don’t miss the island’s beautiful Chora and the spectacular Monastery of Panagia Hozoviotissa, dramatically built into the cliffside.


Back on board, another exquisite four-course dinner awaited us, perfectly complemented by the cocktail of the day. Life aboard Sea Cloud II continues to be an unforgettable experience.

Day 3 – Manganari Beach, Ios

Our first Zodiac excursion took us ashore to the stunning Manganari Beach on the island of Ios, in the heart of the Cyclades. With its crystal-clear waters and unspoilt natural beauty, it’s easy to understand why this beach is so highly regarded.

This evening, we’re looking forward to another exquisite four-course dinner, paired with the day’s signature cocktail. Every moment of this journey so far has been exceptional—I really am in heaven!

Day 2 – Under Sails - Sea Cloud II

Today was spent under sails aboard the magnificent Sea Cloud II. Watching the crew expertly climb the towering masts to set the sails was an incredible sight and a true highlight of the day.

This evening, we attended the Captain's Welcome Dinner, and Wayne and I had the privilege of being invited to sit at the Captain's table—a truly memorable experience. Looking forward to what tomorrow brings as this exciting journey continues.

A wonderful afternoon at Cottons Vauxhall celebrating the very best of the Caribbean 🏝️

Suzanne shared the latest exciting updates from ITC, alongside inspiring destination insights from Barbados, St.Lucia and the British Virgin Islands. We were also delighted to celebrate Cedric from Visit Barbados’ birthday with a surprise cake, making an already special afternoon even more memorable.
