Today's tip: Use a b/fwd system so you can keep track of things that need to be done/dealt with. The type I've used in many jobs (and it's never failed me) is a concertina file divided into 31 sections to represent the (up to) 31 days in a month. If (for example), a bill needs to be paid on the 15th of the month, put it in the section marked 15. Check the folder every day and deal with things in that section. NOTE: THIS ONLY WORKS IF YOU REMEMBER TO LOOK IN THE FOLDER EVERY DAY!!!!

Today's Tip: Find 30 mins every day to clear out your inbox. Delete rubbish, reply to anything that needs replying to, file anything that needs saving and ONLY leave pending items. There is nothing more stressful than opening up your inbox and finding hundreds of emails every day.

This week's schedule: 1.5 days working for my main client, Scandinavian Kitchen, 1 day at home for the recruitment consultant and submitting her VAT Return, 1/2 a day finalising VAT figures for the cinema, a day with a new upcoming fashion designer in his studio, and an update of expenses figures for an online childrens' clothing site. Variety is the spice of life!
