🎉 Exciting News from David Lloyd Fulham Broadway! 🎉

I am thrilled to share Imagineer's recent involvement in the opening of the new David Lloyd Club at Fulham Broadway, an experience that has been both challenging and rewarding. As we embarked on this journey, our goal was to not only enhance the club's facilities but also ensure that the valued members remained engaged and excited throughout the renovation period.

To achieve this, we leveraged innovative technology starting with the development of a preconstruction digital twin. This CGI virtual modelling allowed us to meticulously plan each space while giving our members a sneak peek of the upcoming transformations. The feedback was incredibly positive and played a crucial role in maintaining high member retention rates during the closure.

Taking member experience a step further, we introduced CGI 360 virtual tours. These tours were crafted to allow members to virtually navigate through the new spaces, ensuring continuous engagement and building anticipation for what was to come. This strategy proved effective in keeping the community connected and excited about the developments.

The climax of our innovative approach was the cinematic drone flythrough, filmed just hours before the grand opening. Capturing the stunning facilities in their final form, the drone soared through the club with a breathtaking field of view, adding a dramatic and thrilling element to the unveiling. The drone’s journey from the serene spa pools to the dynamic workout areas not only showcased the state-of-the-art facilities but also highlighted the club's welcoming atmosphere, ready to greet its members.

This project was a phenomenal blend of technology and creativity, and being a part of it has been a highlight of my career. A huge thank you to everyone involved, from the tech teams who brought our visions to life to the club staff and members who embraced these new changes with such enthusiasm.

Here's to new beginnings and to continually pushing the boundaries of what we can achieve at David Lloyd Clubs!

Great to see our work featured on Matterport blog today - the world’s No.1 virtual tour platform, - we did this pro bono to help the arts community bounce back a bit from covid. The tour has been seen by over 350,000 people now!!

Here’s the inside tips on how we did it…

We combined Leica BLK for exteriors and the Matterport Pro2 for inside the theatre. Captured over a sunny weekend the trick is to:

- plan for consistent weather
- pre-define your route
- place MP2 and BLK swap outs at same height and scan point so they connect
- use a decent iPad Pro with good storage.
- Set a timer on your phone when hiding from the BLK to complete. It gets pretty boring peaking out from behind a hedge to guess if it has finished!
- count spaces between BLK scans points. Mine were approx 16 normal paced steps. (I’ve got short legs!)
- Lastly, make sure to place camera at points that people want to actually stand.
- for extra you can customise it with navigation and branding using Treedis

I’ve done the John Candy with this tech! (planes, trains and automobiles)

When toys become work and work becomes play! We're experimenting with Nira and 3D objects to produce amazing web-based fly-through experiences that explode the working parts of their structure. Perfect use cases case are showing moving parts of objects to learn how to make them (Ikea furniture, solar panels, flat pack homes.

From toys to townhouses spatial data is becoming really playful if you can imagineer with it! Got any ideas for cool stuff like this?(credit: Nira.app)

Seagull Attack! - A 'behind the scenes' clip of how Imagineer go to extreme lengths for our clients. I didn't expect to be under attack from a seagull during a recent London 360 aerial drone job over London W2. It wasn't the proximity to the Russian Embassy, the Royal Palace, standing on scaffolding 20m high, or helicopters that I had to worry about (NB. pre-flight clearance was granted).
