🌊🇹🇷 THIS is why I love holidays...

We're literally out in the middle of the sea in Türkiye.

And before anyone asks...

No, I'm NOT getting in. 😂

I can't swim, so I'm perfectly happy staying safely on the boat! 🚤😂

But honestly, sometimes this is exactly what you need.

No rushing.
No everyday stress.
Just sunshine, sea and a chance to actually switch off. ☀️🌊

Although apparently everyone else thinks jumping into the sea is a great idea... I'll happily watch from here! 😂

You've just arrived at your hotel, dropped the suitcase and you're officially on holiday.

What's the FIRST thing you're doing?

😬✈️ I'm probably going to get some hate for this...

I don't think 5-star automatically means a better holiday.

You can have an amazing hotel, beautiful rooms, incredible food and a gorgeous pool...
..but if it's miles away from everything you actually want to do, is it really the right holiday for you?

Sometimes a really good 4-star hotel in the perfect location can give you a much better experience.

For me, it's not about the number of stars.

It's about whether the holiday actually suits you.

So let's have it... 👀

😳✈️ I'd rather lose the booking...

That probably sounds like a strange thing for someone who sells holidays to say.

But if I genuinely don't think a holiday is right for you, I'd rather tell you.

Maybe the dates need changing.
Maybe there's a better destination.
Maybe the budget and expectations just don't match.

I'd rather have that conversation before you book than have you come home disappointed afterwards.

Because for me, it's not about getting a booking.

It's about helping you book the right holiday — and hopefully being the person you trust with the next one too. ❤️

So I'm curious...

😂✈️ Holiday maths is DIFFERENT maths...
At home:
☕ "£7 for a coffee?! Absolutely not."
On holiday:
🍹 "€14 for a cocktail? Go on then... WE'RE ON HOLIDAY!" 😂
And somehow dessert becomes compulsory, airport breakfast doesn't count and the holiday budget becomes more of a suggestion than an actual budget. 👀
Please tell me I'm not the only one!

✈️ I think we're booking holidays backwards...
We usually start with:
"Where do you want to go?"
But maybe the better question is...
"What do you actually NEED from your holiday?"
😴 To completely switch off?
🌍 A proper adventure?
❤️ Quality time with the people you love?
☀️ Sunshine, good food and absolutely nothing else to worry about?
Once you know why you need the holiday, choosing where to go becomes a whole lot easier.
That's the thinking behind Tennuchi's Travels — finding the holiday that fits you, not just picking a destination from a list. ✈️

World Elephant Day was yesterday... but this still matters today.
Seeing elephants is a bucket-list experience for so many of us. But how we experience these incredible animals matters.
Earlier this year, Travel Counsellors strengthened its Animal Protection Policy. Experiences involving elephant riding, bathing or direct contact without a barrier are no longer offered through us.
Why? Because these activities can cause unnecessary stress or harm to elephants, as well as potentially creating safety risks for travellers.
And personally, I don't think you need to ride, bathe or touch an elephant to create an unforgettable travel memory. ❤️
Sometimes simply watching these incredible animals being elephants is the experience.
So yes, I'm a day late for World Elephant Day...
But responsible travel matters every day. 🐘🌍
