💧 Exciting Project News! ⛳

Our installation team has kicked off a fantastic new irrigation project at Gog Magog Golf Club!

Over the next few months, we’ll be installing over 25km of new pipework and almost 1,000 new sprinklers across the Old and Wandlebury courses – bringing state-of-the-art irrigation to the greens, tees, approaches, and surrounds.

It’s been a strong start to the project, with all welfare and storage areas set up and the first sections of mainline pipework already in place.

It’s shaping up to be an exciting project – keep an eye out for more updates as the installation progresses! 💧🌿

This week saw one of our Fendt tractors paired with our AFT Wizz Wheel 75 Trencher head out from our yard to carry out some drainage works on one of our irrigation installations.
Having recently invested in these machines, we’re proud to see them in action as part of our growing fleet of plant vehicles. This investment reflects our commitment to ensuring we have the right equipment and expertise to deliver every job to the highest standard.

Ocmis is proud to have successfully delivered a major irrigation upgrade at The Mere Resort, working alongside Adrian Mortram Associates on this standout project.

The new system features Rain Bird IC technology, providing precise and efficient control across the greens, surrounds, approaches, tees, and selected fairways.

As part of the installation, Ocmis also delivered:
✅ A 634m³ lined water storage tank
✅ A GRP pumphouse
✅ A bespoke irrigation pumping system built in-house at our Somerset workshop, capable of 95m³/hr @ 8.7 bar pressure, using high-grade stainless-steel manifolds

Every pump set Ocmis manufactures is custom-built to suit the individual project, and this system was carefully engineered to meet the specific needs of The Mere Resort.

From tender through to completion, the Ocmis team maintained close communication with the club and Head Greenkeeper John Quinn, offering support every step of the way. The feedback has been incredibly positive – something we’re extremely proud of. 🙌

A huge thank you to Adrian Mortram Associates, The Mere Resort, and John Quinn for their collaboration and trust in Ocmis. This was a fantastic project, and we’re delighted with the results.

🌳 Project Update at The Royal Parks, Greenwich Park 🌳

We are pleased to announce that Ocmis has successfully completed a significant project at The Royal Parks, Greenwich Park. Our team installed a new 70,000-litre TIF tank, manufactured, supplied, and installed by Tricel Weston. This additional tank, operating in parallel with the existing 48,000-litre tank, significantly increases storage capacity, reducing the Royal Parks' reliance on mains water. The water is used for irrigation and distribution, ensuring the park remains lush and green.

The distribution system manages water levels in various ponds and lakes and provides water to numerous toilet blocks for flushing. This project exemplifies the commitment of both Ocmis and The Royal Parks to sustainable water management.
