We have received information that there may be
Hemlock Water Dropwort on Allonby Beach.

This is more commonly known as Dead Mans Finger and is extremely toxic, so please take care if walking on the beaches locally.

Pop your head into the Town Hall reception and you’ll see a fabulous new artwork on display. Created by Maryport-based artist Alan Roper and commissioned as part of the Taste of the Sea festival, it features Senhouse St and takes the viewer on a journey through time as they cross the road. To the left is Maryport circa 1900, inspired by an old postcard Alan found, while to the right is the town today, complete with modern street signs and shoppers on mobile phones.

Can't wait to see the lights up and burning bright for Christmas

Maryport Christmas Lights Switch on
Saturday 19th November 2022 on Senhouse Street...!

On our outdoor stage we have the wonderful, Ellie Rowley, Casey Sewell, Netherhall School Band, Maryport Primary School Choir, Ellenborough Academy School Choir, Maryport Amateur Dramatics.

The FANTASTIC Christmas Grotto and visit Santa will return with the best presents in the West...This will be in our usual place in the Labour Club.
((Numbers will be limited to 300, and only children visiting Santa will be eligible for a present, we cannot allow extra presents to be purchased for children not accompanying parents to visit on the day)).

FREE Face painting from the fabulous Bethany Gray
FREE Tea, Coffee & Hot Chocolate from the Wilmot's Amusements food van.
Free Homemade Mince Pies, with thanks to the Golden Lion Hotel.
