Aldwark Artisan Ales Brewers of Artisan craft beer, made using water from our own bore hole, this makes our beer unique. Limestone filtered in the hills of the peak district.

Welcome to our quirky world of sheep, cows, brewing beer and generally trying to sustain a life with our kids on the farm
we invite you through the farm gates to experience a little of our random life and to taste our scrummy ales. In the southern hills of the peak district, on a working beef and sheep farm, Ian is converting the old milking parlour into his very own ale producing laboratory. Ian

is a pharmacist by trade, a self taught builder, plumber, electrician and farmer. Jen is 3rd generation farmer on Lydgate farm, meal producer, washer woman and a generally disorganized mess. Fran and Max are instigators of trouble, mess and mayhem. (children)
and Dips the dog is just hungry. Wish us luck and enjoy following our story.

It’s only a week away! 🥳🥳 this time next week the big shed doors will be open! We will be celebrating the beginning of our summer brewery bar with music food and a bar full of liquid delights..
always proud of the fun times we have up here in the summer.. great atmosphere, a warm welcome and quality food and drink. Keeping life simple on our beautiful hill.
glamping this year consists of the bell tents and our beautiful shepherds hut. Wild camping available too. Or just get yourself an uber booked! goodtimes!

Wow.. how is it the middle of April already.!
Get your diary’s out folks.. here are our summer dates. Same set up as last year except even better. We’ve been working hard since we last saw you all. Trying to improve and build each year.
Last summer was flipping awesome and lots of you are asking what happening this summer and when we’re opening up again.
So Saturday 6th June is our opening party, with some great live music, yummy grub, great atmosphere, beautiful views and of course, the bar!
We’re currently in the depths of lambing, as well as getting ready for you lot.. so I’ll do my best to be chatty on here.. but you know what it’s like.. 🤓
These are all the dates. And as always the AAA Team will give it our very best shot to provide you with an excellent summer!

Well it’s not as dismal a day as I was expecting..
It’s February, it’s grey.. but get out the house quick while it’s not sleeting sideways at us. We’re set up at the very full Wirksworth farmers market.
We’ve got a great selection of bottle conditioned beers as well as our new cans! Brand new.. helped lager and farmageddon pale craft!
