Since we opened Derwent House in 2008, we have taken weekend, midweek and full week bookings, starting on a Monday or Friday. However, recently we have had requests for bookings to start on different days and cover different numbers of nights.
In response we are moving to a more flexible booking approach for Derwent House.

Our guests can now choose to arrive on any day and stay for 3, 4,5, 6 or 7 nights.

For Stays of 4 nights or more we offer a discounted nightly rate

For midweek 4 night stays arriving on a Monday we offer 4 nights for the price (excluding the festive period)

We spent a lovely afternoon walking along Cromford Canal, a stop off calling in at Japan Fest at Cromford Mill and a visit to the village of Cromford. Time for a spot of lunch at Parky’s Eatery (which is also a great place for afternoon tea). And a visit to Scarthin books, an eclectic bookshop with a pretty amazing array of books on a vast array of subjects.  Such a great day to relax and enjoy the sunshine. And just a short drive or 2 stops on the train from Derwent House, Matlock.

Our aim is for Derwent House to offer a ‘home from home’ experience where a large group of people can come to escape, relax and unwind in luxury surroundings. To provide this, the house is well equipped and has good facilities for large groups so that guests enjoy the time they spend here. We have been providing holiday accommodation for groups since 2008 and it as important today as it was at the start that we do all we can to help guests feel welcome and ensure they have a wonderful stay.

Located in the heart of Matlock Derwent House is close to all the local amenities. From the antique and vintage shops on Dale Road, to cafes, bars and a range of restaurants. Matlock is located on the edge of the Peak District National park, which makes this a fantastic location for exploring all the area has to offer. We are also lucky to have excellent transport links, with a rail station just a few minutes walk away and great bus services.

Many of our guests visit us for a special occasion and we know how important it is to have somewhere to stay that is right for this. From matching glasses, cutlery and crockery to one table seating all guests, to having space for all. Derwent House offers all of this and more. We work hard throughout the year to keep an excellent standard so our guests can come away and enjoy their time together and exploring the wonderful landscape and sights of Derbyshire and the Peak District National park. We look forward to welcoming you.
