Wow what a lovely week we have had here at Rew Farm. Bringing a small group of yearlings home for a pre movement tb test, before they leave for pastures new. Welcomed oldest son home and enjoyed music with him in our new ‘allotment troughs”. Welcomed a very dear friend and his family for a short stay as well as a brand new youngest guest of four weeks old, and beautiful honey mooning couple and their delightful children who chose us as their calming retreat following a busy wedding on Saturday. Waved goodbye to the kids who went on a camping adventure and even managed a night away from home in beautiful Dorset, sharing fizz and cream teas on the beach with more dear friends whilst George caught his first mackerel. Feeling very grateful and blessed for an amazing week. Looking forward to greeting our new guests. On the Reno front, work is cracking on with the coach house and stable building. Kitchens fitted and enjoying fabulous views from the upper floors. What’s in your veg patch? Let us know!

The Rew Farm team are celebrating a belated birthday at Zia tonight. We came for a buffet evening and they did not disappoint!!! My photos don’t do justice but we enjoyed mocktails, happy hour bogof cocktails (delicious), and a lovely selection of pizza, pasta, arancini balls, bbq chicken and an Italian sausage stew! Just a two minute drive from our lodges. £16.45 per adult and £9.99 (?) per child. Worth every penny! Well worth a try and buffet on every Wednesday from 6-9pm ❤️

Celebrating a clear TB test this morning. Apologies to the locals for the noise, they will be happily returned to the fields shortly. Very grateful for a clear test when others haven’t been so fortunate.

Poignant day today, bringing the cows home for winter. Please help protect British Farmers in this difficult time. We are fourth and fifth generation farmers working together, hoping the government will rethink the inheritance tax so our children can continue as sixth generation.
