The name Coel Na Mara comes from Gaelic and means ‘music of the sea’ and when you visit, you’ll see why. The house offers sea views in an attractive, peaceful location within walking distance of local amenities such as the shop, diner, boating club and le

isure centre/swimming pool. Just 15 minutes drive from the ferry terminals for the Shetland Mainland, Unst and Fetlar, it makes an ideal, central base for exploring the islands. Yell itself has much to offer too, whether your passion is wildlife, birdlife, otters, fishing, walking or you just want to enjoy some solitude and get away from it all. Community events held throughout the year will give you a true taste of Yell hospitality and visitors are warmly welcomed. Sleeping up to 4 in one twin and one double room, Coel Na Mara offers clean, modern and spacious accommodation in attractive surroundings. We currently hold a three star rating under the Visitscotland accreditation scheme. Spring and summer bring with them long light-filled days ideal for exploring everything the islands have to offer whilst the winter months can throw anything up from spectacular storms to picture postcard snowy scenes.
