One question we get asked alot is, after my master's, how can I stay back at the end of my program?

It's surprising to learn that most people don't know about the extra two years Graduate visa or Post graduate work visa and they get both shocked and excited when it's mentioned during their consultation session. Why do you think everyone's moving to the UK now?

The two years work permit/ graduate visa/ post graduate work visa allows you to stay back for an extra two years during which time you can find an employer who can sponsor you for the tier 2 visa.

The Tier 2 visa puts you on the pathway to permanent residence/ citizenship. There are other pathways you can explore and you can also have alternative plans but that's up to you.

So there you have it 😅😅

Bear in mind that some schools may ask for 50% on enrollment before you can qualify for payment in instalments. This also does not mean that their tuition is necessarily cheap.

Don't forget to Do your own research please and remember, this list is not exhaustive.

Always refer to the University website for more detailed information or call the finance/ international admissions team and ask for their Tuition policy.

T for thanks 🙌

Spent my day yesterday writing.

This client is so appreciative and I'm almost tempted to wave off the balance of my payment because of the way she's thanking me 😹😹

I take every application and piece of writing personally. I do it like I'm doing it for myself.

Did you see where she said I'm so good at this and she's happy to have met me? That's the experience I want all my clients to have. I always go above and beyond to make my clients satisfied. For instance the initial reference letter she sent to me was not properly worded for graduate admissions application and there so many grammatical and spell errors. I wrote her another one free of charge.

Also, because she's been a self employed business person, she was worried about how to write a convincing personal statement but that's my job not hers. She was very impressed with everything I delivered 😃

Zee of Middlesbrough you're doing well.

For those circulating this image and saying student visa has been suspended, I'm sorry but you are all wrong.

Priority visa service is what was suspended not student visa itself.

Priority visa service is just like express service. If you don't want to wait for the standard three weeks that student visa takes, you pay extra £220 for priority and just like the name implies, they give your application priority by putting it at the front of the queue at each stage after your application is submitted and instead of waiting for three weeks, you get a decision within five working days or 24 hours if na super priority. Now they're saying everyone must do standard no more express aka priority

This won't be the first time they're suspending it. Back in November they suspended the priority visa application after the Omicron variant of the Covid virus came in and then resumed it again in January. People were still applying and getting visa and it was then I got my own student visa as well.

In UK visa application we have;

Standard visa = £340 (takes 3 weeks)
Priority visa = £340 + £220 extra( takes 5 working days)
Super priority = £340 + £940 extra ( takes 24hrs)

So the priority and super priority visa have been suspended leaving just the standard visa, so you can't fast track your visa decision but you can definitely apply and wait for three weeks to get a decision.

Thank you 🙌🙌

If coming to the UK via the study pathway and money is an issue then there are lots of considerations to make;

To ensure you don't get stranded over here, you have to ensure you choose the right school with the best repayment plan for you. It doesn't stop at paying your initial tuition deposit and packing your bags to the UK. If you don't research and choose wisely and when it's time to pay your next deposit which for most schools is 50% before or on enrollment, you will cry blood.

Some persons choose schools that allow them to pay 1k deposit like Sheffield Hallam University and sometimes without having to show Proof of funds then they come here hoping to work and balance up only to realise that the 20hrs per week limit on their visa is real, they're unable to pay up then school reports to UKVI and then they get shipped back to Naija. Last year in our Telegram group, we contributed £5500 pounds for a certain girl to pay her 50% before enrollment because she was about to be deported but that was the only exception because we sef like London and the big cities but chose to come to Middlesbrough.

Please do your research o and may God not allow us embark on a journey of shame.

TIP
Look out for schools offering your preferred course as a two years program as the second year will be for work placement. In most cases your tuition will be split into two and you only have to show proof of tuition balance for one year and also after paying the initial deposit, you're left with a smaller amount to repay.

For example with Teesside University, my first year tuition was £7,500 and after the 2k discount I was given and the £4000 deposit I paid, I now have only 1500 pounds to repay in seven instalments starting by next month.

It means I have less than £250 to pay every month so I am not under pressure and I can comfortably pay this and also pay my monthly rent and feeding expenses by doing odd jobs. The £4,000 deposit was alot for me but I'm thankful I paid the bulk of my tuition from Nigeria.

During the summer break which is going to last 3-4months I can work countless hours as my power can carry and save up towards my second year Tuiton of £7,500 which my school generously allows us to pay in 7 instalments as well with a 500 pounds discount if you pay early enough.

In all you do when considering coming here on a student visa please choose an affordable school with affordable tution and flexible repayment plan. Avoid London and other big cities if you don't have money like me.

While there's a way around some issues in this journey, when it comes to tuition, you either have it or you don't and some strict schools will not even accept to give you a repayment plan if it was not agreed prior to your arrival they will say you showed a maintenance document when applying for your visa that you had your remaining school fees and living expenses and your visa was granted on that basis so you must pay. So stay woke.

If you must come inbox to task me with the responsibility of finding good schools with good repayment plans for you please hold your 50k

God no go shame us 😆😆
