South Lodge is making changes! From the end of the year we’ll be offering a fully serviced self catering apartment, and I’m currently stocking a kitchen. So I would like ideas on what you would absolutely need in a self catering kitchen.

I’ve decided that the ‘odd’ things include a pizza wheel and bamboo tongs for the toaster, but what are your ‘must haves’? Simple or complex as you like!

Useful information for all would be UK holidaymakers this year. Please pass this on as it might help you and your friends get the right holiday for them, or at least as much choice as possible!

You may know there’s been a bit of a run on the most popular holiday places in the UK this summer. All around the UK, accommodation providers (self catering cottages, B&Bs, glamping site owners) are closing down their availability to be booked via the big agents. They are doing this in the hope of maximising their income after the lockdown. This means you can find them on Booking.con or Expedia, but they will appear to be fully booked. Don’t give up! You may find they have space by going direct to their own website.
