By Bus: Dunster is served by several bus routes (Minehead, Taunton, Dulverton/Tiverton) For bus routes, timetables etc go to First Group Somerset
By Rail: Sadly there are no direct trains to Dunster, however the nearest mainline train station is at Taunton, you are then able to get to Dunster by bus or taxi, there is a taxi rank directly outside the station and Dunster Beach is a 10 minute walk from the A39. Interested in raisin funds for the West Somerset Railway at TCS London Marathon next year? Read the West Somerset Railway Association post below for details.

The WSRA have been fortunate to be allocated a second place in the 2026 London marathon, alongside our runner Joe. We need all runners to secure a minimum of £500 for their place and hopefully raise 2k in total for the restoration of a steam locomotive.

If anyone is interested in representing the charity please contact me on the email below answering these 2 questions:

1) why would you like a place in the 2026 marathon?
2) How would you try to secure funding on behalf of the charity?

We have good news for our guests with electric vehicles (EVs) and the planet.
Dunster Beach Holidays & National Grid Customers UK (Western power) are in the process of installing electric vehicle charger points at the far end of the site by the golf course.
We will keep you informed of progress and full details as soon as we have them.
