We still have some availability in May, with 2 night stays available. Morpeth is getting ready for summer with the outdoor paddling pool getting ready to be reopened for the season, and the boats back on the river. Not to mention the fantastic new leisure centre which just opened last month. So much to do and explore on the doorstep, or the perfect spot just to relax of course too. Spring is well and truly on its way here in Morpeth, the sun has been shining☀️, the flowers are showing their gorgeous colours🌷 and we will soon see the rowing boats back on the river 🛶 It might still be a bit chilly, but Duck & Heron Cottage is always cosy and warm 😊❤️ we still have some availability in March and still offering 2 night stays this month. It's been really chilly in Morpeth the last few weeks, the river even froze over at one point 😱🥶❄️ but isn't it so beautiful?! 😍
Thankfully Duck & Heron Cottage is as cosy as ever and the perfect spot to curl up and relax after a day of exploring Northumberland 😍
Duck & Heron Cottage is a cosy 2 bedroom house which sleeps up to 4 guests. We are positioned right next to the river and within a couple of minutes walk of the charming town centre of Morpeth. We have a parking space if travelling by car, but are also based close to bus and train links which is handy for exploring the rest of Northumberland and beyond during your stay.
We have availability at the end of January and in February, we are now offering 2 night stays starting from £180 🎉

All set for Christmas at Duck & Heron Cottage 😍🎅🎄 we have availability over the next couple of weeks before the real Christmas rush. With so many magical Christmas experiences in Northumberland it's totally worth a visit. We've even reduced our minimum stays to 2 nights so that you can squeeze a break in between the rest of the December madness.

A great location to explore this beautiful part of North East England. Being located on the edge of the town centre you can enjoy all that is on our doorstep, river walks, gorgeous pubs and restaurants, great shopping and lots of history. Or you can go further afield with brilliant train, bus and road links to so many of the nearby towns, cities and tourist spots we have nearby, not to mention the beautiful coast line 😍 Northumberland is beautiful all year round, just bring an extra layer 😉

We had such a treat today after welcoming our new arrivals at Duck & Heron Cottage.... My girls wanted to enjoy an ice cream while watching the ducks and in flew the heron right next to us 😍 not to mention the gorgeous fluffy baby ducklings we spotted too ☺️😍🦆
