Alnmouth is another quaint Northumbrian village with lots of cafes, pubs and restaurants as well as a golf course and miles of golden sands 🌊 A must - visit during your holiday in Northumberland!

The beach at Low Newton by the Sea is one of my favourite Northumberland beaches, along with Warkworth beach of course!

Just 25 minutes from Warkworth, up the coast, Low Newton is a small village with a beautiful beach, breathtaking views across the bay towards
Dunstanburgh castle and is a ‘must see’ during your visit to Northumberland. There’s a great pub, the Ship Inn, at Low Newton which is the perfect spot for a drink and a bite to eat after a lovely beach walk. We’re very partial to a fresh crab sandwich and a local Ship Inn ale. Delicious!🍺

The walk from Warkworth to the equally beautiful coastal village of Alnmouth is one of my favourites!

The views from the coastal path of green pastures with grazing sheep & lambs meets the sapphire blue sea. When you get closer to Alnmouth Village you can see the picturesque painted houses that face the estuary. Just a perfect leisurely walk to start the weekend!

At Oriel we don’t have set changeover days meaning you can start your holiday any day of the week! We also don’t charge a booking fee on direct bookings making it a lot cheaper for guests than on the booking platforms.
